Love the location. The desk staff was great!! Breakfast was fantastic!! Everything was hot and tasty! The room was spotless when we arrived. Also,we brought a car in today after 5 are finishing our tour tomorrow at one after we checkout and our parking expires. The lovely young man who unfortunately I do not know his name extended my parking 1hour complementary and they said they would keep my luggage for me until I return. However after our day out and returning back to room 247 we were surprised to see even though we had thrown our beds loosely together that they had not been straighten out to look as when we arrived initially. Which was okay but disappointing. The pool was closed for the winter. I was looking specifically for a hotel with a pool. Closures should be noted in the description of the hotel. My biggest issue was with the bathroom. The cleaning staff didn’t clean the bathtub at all. No attempt was made. The garbage was not cleaned from the bathroom and even though the towels were replaced we still ended up with one hand towel short. Not the usual standard of Hilton. Just wanted to share my experience this time. Also the drain of the tub is extremely slow to drain. I forgot to mention it this morning but will mention it at checkout tomorrow. The cleanliness score was based on the subpar cleaning of today. The property itself is very clean and inviting.

Minuses • Elevators were working erratically when we arrived. Fire department on the scene. Then they were working, then broken; one of us got stuck. All better after a couple of hours. • Heat in the room wasn't working when we arrive. 3 visits from hotel's pleasant handyman/repair guy fixed it. • Requested a cork screw, called again 35 minutes later, it arrived 1 hour after that • TV doesn't offer any streaming services - only local CATV channels. Digital video and audio suffered from constant break-up - connection wasn't fast enough. A visit from same handyman/repair guy confirmed that the problem was not limited to our room. • 1st night, very noisy garbage pickup at 4am from service entrance below our room; the room floor vibrated a little as heavy machinery worked in some sort of utility room below ours. 2nd night, less noisy garbage pick-up about 5am. • only paper cups for coffee and drinking water – better for he planet than plastic but it screams "Economy". • no ice machine on our floor Pluses • Excellent hot/cold buffet breakfast - lots of choices, lots of attentive staff, lots of tables • very pleasant staff, especially the handyman/repair guy. • clean, bright room • nice walk-in shower • Check-in and check-out were quick/pleasant/seamless

Hampton Inn Montreal Fall visit
Great location, easy walk to Old Montreal, China Town and great restaurants. Easy walk to Metro, no need to take car out of garage. Breakfast was really excellent, great variety, responsive staff, great food and well maintained. We had one problem during our stay. The fitted sheets for the king size bed were too small and easily pulled up off the mattress making for an uncomfortable nights' sleep. Also the top sheet/duvet cover was poorly designed and quickly separated adding to an uncomfortable sleeping situation. The hotel changed the sheets upon request but each set of sheets had the same basic size and design issues. The pillows were quite flat and had little support. Overall, great location and breakfast saved the day.

There wasn't a view for our room which was surprising for me, maybe it could've been informed better on the listing. The area around was a bit "sketchy", there was one guy who was playing "imaginary baseball" in front of the hotel and he seems unstable as well. Overall, everything else was good. Didn't try the breakfast tho.

Chinatown
Situated in Chinatown it's very close to Metro stations which made it easy to get around Montreal. It's within walking distances to the old town, shopping district and central station. The building is very modern from the outside and the inside is just modern, comfortable and big. Loved the large queen beds, climate controlled room, large TV and excellent bathroom facilities especially the shower. Staff is very welcoming and friendly.
