The location was amazing in the old Montreal. We were unable to get any regular french channel on the TV like Radio Canada, TVA, etc. and the staff could not, or did not want, to help us. The decor was amazing and fun, and the lobby was perfect to relax and have a nice cup of coffee. Excellent breakfast and staff at the restaurant very nice.

Old historic building filled with beautiful art pieces, friendly helpful courteous staff. Bar was not as stocked as we would have preferred- We booked a King premium room at same time at same price as our friends. They were given a king suite we were not.

The location was perfect- I could walk to much of what I wanted to see & the metro was easy to get to. The lobby is a bit overstimulating & the hallways are full of art but my room was an oasis of calm. All the staff I interacted with were friendly & helpful. My only minor complaint was that I wish breakfast options extended to toast or a Montreal bagel. Starting my day with that much butter in the pastries on offer would not be a good idea. But there are many breakfast options within a 2 minute walk, so this wasn’t really a problem.

Overall, great experience!
Excellent service and location! Beautiful and unique artwork throughout the hotel! The bed and pillows could have been more comfortable, and the shower nozzle needs an upgrade, but overall it was a great experience.

We loved the decor of the property and the music playing in the lobby. The bar was a nice place for a drink at night. We had a double queen room. The room was spacious and lovely. Nice and quiet. Mattresses were a tad uncomfortable for me, but that could be personal preference. Nice bathroom and shower. Wish there were more outlets on the bed side of the room, but we managed. The staff were amazing and friendly. We really enjoyed speaking with them. Valets were very helpful. Breakfast was convenient, but we wish there was a little more variety. Just the same two types of pastries each morning. Overall, we had a fabulous stay! We would definitely return and recommend to others!

Hotel was in a good location, however is was a little rundown. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. The carpet in our room was quite stained and dirty, toilet seat was broken and shower door seemed to be broken. The bed was clean but very uncomfortable. The room we got did not look like the picture on the website. Also did not receive the free water in our room.

The staff members were kind and very receptive and were somewhat helpful. The property is in okay condition. It is dated and the lobby area is quite eclectic. If you like Peter Max art and odd art sculpture this is your kind of place. The free breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee in a paper cup, juice and a croissant every morning. The selection could not be considered "breakfast". Our room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom had been recently upgraded, however, the glass enclosure on the shower was collapsing inward and was very dangerous. We couldn't use the shower the last night of our stay. They didn't have anyone who could repair it, nor did they have any available rooms to move us. We thought they would at least give us a discount. We were told they would email us about a discount after they sent our complaint to the manager. We never received an email response or a discount. All in all, it was not a good value for the rate they charge.
