Spacious Family Friendly House, Close To Trails and Mackinac Island Ferries!

A beautiful home in a quiet little neighborhood 15 miles away from the bridge and Mackinac Island ferries. This house is a perfect spot for families, friends, or just a couple that wants a quiet place to rest their head. Located just off M-123 close to recreational trails, Mackinac Island ferries, Brevort Lake boat launch, and sand dunes for swimming. Compete with all the comforts of home. Looking for something closer to town? Check out our three-bedroom house located in the city of St. Ignace.

Just a quick word about our cleaning practices. We have implimented the same cleaning practices at this home as our other short term rental property. After every guests stay we are disinfecting all heavy traffic surfaces (door knobs, faucets, remotes, cabinet handles, fridge handles, etc). Also all linen, weither used or not, is washed, sanitized, and changed. We are doing all we can to ensure your stay is a safe stay. If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask. We also leaving hand sanitizer and a bleach cleaning spray for guest use.

The ORV trail is literally steps from the home. So this is a great location for those wishing to snowmobile, ATV, or fat tire bike down the miles of trails that the Eastern Upper Peninsula has to offer. Please let me know if you are bringing a trailer, especially in the winter, so I can plow a spot for it. If your trailer is really big (more that 2 sleds) the gas station in Moran (about 1/4 mil away) allows you to leave you trailer there. They do that figuring you will be purchasing you gas and necessities from them.

Just installed Starlink internet in the home. You should expect speeds of 200-300mb/sec while connected to the WiFi.

Also in full disclosure we do have a 3 security cameras that records outside the home.
1 records the driveway, 1 records the back yard, and 1 records the back doors. We feel this is a needed security since we do not live on site.

The UP!!!
We stayed with family in this beautiful country. This house provided all the comforts of home. The host and his wife provided all the amenities that we could have needed. And we had plenty of room for the 1 year old to walk and of course, an adult to follow repeatedly. It was very quite and we hit the area when the leaves were changing. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your home!!!!! I highly recommend this home.

Great starting point for eastern UP adventures
Checkin was a breeze and the property was lovely. It is in a quiet little community and we didn’t encounter any neighbors on our trip. The kitchen was stocked with the necessities for cooking. Beds were supremely comfortable, in my opinion. As noted in the listing, there is not central air, but opening the windows provided good airflow as well as the provided fans. The only con of the home is some creaky floorboards, but that was only an issue as we have an infant who is a light sleeper. Check out was quick and easy. It was refreshing not to have an hour’s worth of chores to perform prior to check out like some short term rentals! Our trip consisted of visits to the Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, and Mackinac. All of these are within an hour and easy drives. Overall a fantastic experience and I would certainly stay again!

Off the beaten path
Was a great stay. Was nice to be close to Mackinac Island but not have the hustle of being in town. Close to everything and very convenient off I-75. Nice to have four queen beds, they are very firm, just be aware. Nice fire pit and yard area. Overall a nice stay.

Good Stay
This was a nice place to stay while we were vacationing in upper Michigan, mostly because it provided a lot of space for the family and it's in a remote location. The kitchen was outfitted really well. With that said, the house was a little warm in the afternoon (only two, room air conditioners). The house, overall, needs a little attention: The kitchen cabinets didn't stay closed, which was a little annoying. One of the doors to the deck didn't open unless forced. One of the structures in the backyard looks like it is about to fall down. The ceiling fan at the top of the stairs doesn't work and one of the other ceiling fans starts to rock when on a high setting. My wife and I slept in the bedroom with a room air conditioner and it was difficult to sleep with it loudly cycling on and off all night long (I ended up using ear plugs). It's all stuff we could live with, but temper your expectations. My wife and I felt very safe to go jogging on the country roads every day. It's a really nice area.

Close to everything you’re looking for!
The experience was great and the house was lovely and they had everything we needed and Greg was available if we had any questions! The house was close to most of the things we wanted to do! 15 minutes from the city and then a ferry to the island which was not much longer. If you’re not sure what to do they provide a binder with so many activities. We a more than likely to stay again! 😊

Family Get Together near St. Ignace
Pleasant base for exploring Upper Michigan in spring. The 4 bedrooms were useful for 3 family group. Kitchen was well provisioned and provided all most needed items durign our stay. Living room was large and comfortable.

Great winter destination
House is very clean and roomy. Very convenient, only a block from the snowmobile trail. Great communication from the owner. Even took the time to email me the recent snow accumulation. We will definitely be booking the house again next winter.

Great Hunting Camp
This was our second visit at this location. The accommodations were excellent! The house was warm, comfortable, spacious and well furnished. The host was awesome and welcomed us back to come again. We felt like old friends instead of just tenants. We will do this again!!

Great Fall Getaway

Exploring the UP
Overall home provided everything we were expecting. Beds were comfortable and household provisions were up to par. Stairs to the upstairs bedrooms were a little treacherous as we are all 70+ and I would be leery if I had little ones as well. Home is not completely fenced as listing states. We were expecting to be able to let our dogs run but not possible without a fence. Overall a great location for exploring eastern to central UP

Quiet Neighborhood, Great Location!
We rented this property to have as a location close to Mackinaw, but yet, able to make other day trips to the UP to experience the natural beauty. Pictured Rocks and Tahquamenon Falls were highlights of the day trips we made, as well as Sault St Marie. We enjoyed Mackinaw Island, but a little touristy for us. We rented bikes and tried to stay away from the crowds!:) The house was spacious, clean, very nicely updated and we had plenty of room with 6 kids (all teenagers) and 2 adults. The one bathroom is adequate and can be manageable. The kitchen and laundry was a plus , as well as the quiet neighborhood to come back to of an evening for a bonfire and movie. I would stay here again for summer. I’m not a winter traveler but I hear the house is located right by the ATV winter trails. A true gem!

We loved the space. So much room to spread out. Nice kitchen, good light. Nice backyard. Finding it was easy and had quick access to nesrby highways. With large group we had to plan around the one bathroom. But we made it work.

Great stay!
4 adults, 3 young kids. It was perfect for a 3 night stay. 15 min from ferry docs, about 45-60 min from Tahquam. falls. We personally really liked that the spare bedroom on first floor (where my husband, daughter and I stayed) we’re somewhat physically distant from the upstairs bedrooms not only for a little privacy but also for a little noise barrier if one kid was crying. Some small things that could be improved: in the first floor bedroom, it is a glass/see through door. Maybe add a layer of privacy for that area somehow since it’s also attached to the main living room? Also, there is an orange flood light at the adjacent property that shines right into that first floor bedroom at night, which could also be improved with some privacy on those glass doors. There is a local ac unit, but bring extra fans because it can get very muggy. Overall, great large space, perfectly stocked kitchen, great back patio, and very pleasant easy checkin/checkout process. 100% would stay again. :)

We loved the house in Moran. It was a cozy home with everything that we needed and excellent Wifi! The kitchen was nicely stocked for family meals. It was in a central location for us as we spent several days sightseeing in Munising and also Mackinaw City/Island and St. Ignace. The small neighborhood was very quiet and the folks at the King's Fish Market next door were friendly and served delicious lunches! The owner, Greg, was very responsive and helpful to answer all of my answers ahead of time and also during our stay. We had an amazing family vacation exploring the Upper Peninsula!!

Fantastic experience
We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for our needs, very close to Mackinaw island with short drives to the falls and even close to rock hunting for Yooperlites around Grand Marais. We had a ton of room to spread out in this house which was great since my husband was working from the property while myself, kids and grandparents were sightseeing. The WiFi was perfect for doing work in the house or on the beautiful deck. Our dog was really happy she was able to come along as well in this pet friendly home. They took care of every detail from toiletries available in case we forgot anything, to cute juice boxes, gummies and a toy waiting for the kids upon our arrival. It was very apparent why they are superhosts since they made sure every detail was taken care of so we could have an amazing stay. The property was extremely clean as well and there was even a washer/dryer so we could do a little laundry if needed. I would absolutely stay here again!!

Wonderful Home
Just wanted to say we enjoyed your wonderful home. You really made it feel welcoming with all the extra nice touches. The toys were a good idea for our 8 year old, he was able to entertain himself with them. We loved the kitchen and were able to cook some good meals. The family room was awesome, we enjoyed movie night. All 8 of us were able to sleep very comfortably. Something that usually is a problem when we travel. One day my husband and I stayed behind and just rested. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and soaking up the sun. Whether it was cold or warm we were able to enjoy our stay. Thank you from the Porcayo/Flores family. .
