Stayed in other building - no credit cards
The staff were very helpful and accommodating and the breakfast was great! But,we ended up needing to stay in a different building, as their main building was booked full. This building had a very loud echo and you could hear every door that closed and every conversation. They really should add some rugs and curtains to soften the acoustics. It did not help that we had a very loud group there who were there to party at Sun City. But we also heard the staff a lot, and they were not particularly loud. Our room was also very bright throughout the night thanks to thin curtains and bright lights right outside the window. When I woke up at 4 am, I thought it was already daytime, because it was so bright. We also ended up with a room that had a bathroom separate from the bedroom. It was our own private bathroom, but we had to walk out of our room to get to it. This was disappointing, as this is not the standard I booked. The final frustration came when they would not accept credit cards for payment. This delayed our early morning game drive departure. We ended up finding a solution that worked, but it was quite frustrating to wake up extra early for a game drive, and then end up 30 minutes later than you wanted to be due to this issue.
I imagine the main guest house is just fine, but the noise and the setup of the guesthouse we had to stay in was not enjoyable.
