Lux Home Downtown Mt Dora

This Cottage is a hidden gem. You are surrounded by nature and beautiful oak trees, but yet you are only a 4 minute drive to downtown Mt. Dora. So get some action downtown, but come back to relax in this newly renovated Cottage! It was built in 1928 and is located in one of the most charming residential areas of Mt. Dora. It has everything you need to relax, enjoy the town and enjoy nature. Feel like going to town, just hop on your car for 4 minutes or walk for 15 min, and you are there! Don't feel like going out? Well, just hang inside watching your favorite shows or hang out on the screened front porch listening to birds sing. With so many restaurant options in downtown Mt. Dora, there will not be much time for cooking. But in case you decide to stay in, the kitchen comes fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. We also offer a washer/dryer. The cottage is also only a 2 minute drive away from gas stations, Walgreens, and Publix.

The King size beds features memory foam mattress with Ritz Carlton type mattress topper. Warning!: It might be difficult to wake up in the mornings! : )

We love animals and we are pet friendly! Bring your pooch ( up to 30 lb.) along for the ride. The backyard is completely fenced in so your pooch can roam freely. Most businesses downtown Mt. Dora are pet friendly. There will be a nonrefundable $100 pet fee (per pet). Please keep in mind that all rugs will be removed for guests accompanied by pets.

Great Restaurants in Mt. Dora: Wave, 1921, Copacabana and Back Porch. These are all located 5 min. drive from the Cottage.
For great wine and hanging out: Maggie’s Attic is a nice little bar hang out where you can chill and sip on a glass of wine.
Coffee Shop: Alyson's Bake Shop. Simply the best coffee ever!

There is plenty of parking for up to 2 cars and a boat. You might want to bring your boat with so many lakes around us!

Sweetest little Cottage in the Hills
Well it was during a hurricane Milton to be exact. The house stood firm and so did the trees!! It is a beautiful setting in a beautiful little city. Thoroughly enjoyed it only lost power for a few hours! Our host was great and always available to us even during a hurricane. WE highly recommend this lovely little cottage!

A Lovely Stay in Mt Dora
The house was just as advertised and very clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the house nicely decorated. The kitchen could use a tea kettle and a sauce pan but everything else was there to make yourself at home. We came for the Renninger’s Antique Market which is very close to the house which was great. The weather didn’t cooperate very well but the rain didn’t seem to bother many people. We enjoy Mt Dora and will book this house again for our next trip.

Sweet cottage with everything you need to enjoy the adorable town of Mr. Dora. We came to visit Renninger's Extravaganza and this location provided perfect, convenient access to everything we needed.

Close, convenient and clean
We stayed here for a girls weekend and it was perfect. It was close enough to town to walk or catch the Mt Dora Transit if you didn’t want to walk or drive. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The house was immaculate.

Getting in the Xmas spirit in Mt Dora
The house was adorable, bungalow vibe, well appointed and perfect location close to downtown Mt Dora. Great fenced in back yard if you have a pet. We jumped on our beach cruisers and avoided all the holiday traffic and parking drama in town. Front porch was peaceful place to have your morning coffee. Check in and out was a breeze. Highly recommend staying at this home.

This cozy cottage was the perfect place to visit Mt Dora but not be right downtown. The home was tastefully decorated, sparkling clean and the beds were very comfy. I loved the cottage feel and the lush landscaping; the mornings on the screened-in front porch were delightful. I would definitely stay here again.
