King Room was spacious, clean and bed was very comfortable! Loved the walk-in shower in my room, my friend had a tub/shower in her King room. Breakfast buffet was enjoyable with a nice variety of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Have nice lounge and patio area to enjoy. Also, in walking distance to waterfront, Citadel, and the bars/food on Argyle. Lighthouse theatre is just out the rear entrance…so great for the concert we attended!

Thank you for being such a wonderful hotel
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Here are the things I really liked: — Check in was speedy. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Told us about the tunnel to another building, which was very handy when it’s cold and rainy outside. — convenient dining option: Gio restaurant is right next to the hotel. Can’t access the restaurant without going outside — Room was spacious and clean. Bed was super comfortable. Not too firm or soft, just right. Pillows were supportive. Comforter was thick but breathable. The only downside was they were so comfortable that sometimes I just wanted to stay in bed instead of doing sightseeing stuff. — Bathroom was spacious as well. But the shower water pressure was amazing. If possible, I would like to bring that shower home. — The hotel is at a very convenient location, surrounded by restaurants and bars, and tourist attractions. Everything is within walking distance. I will definitely stay at Prince George Hotel if and when I visit Halifax next time.

Staff were great at check in - it was pouring rain so we opted for valet - totally worth it! Room was perfect for 2 night stay. The only unusual thing was the loud banging of pipes periodically. We had bfast buffet - it was great and very reasonably priced for the selection.

This hotel is the definition of old glory. It looks like it was a big deal once upon a time. Staff is well trained. But the rooms and the hallways are freaking outdated. Super loud ac units, dripping sounds. Decor looks like a funeral home. The pool and the gym are a disaster. The elevators are a liability.

We have stayed at the Prince George numerous times in the past and will certainly return. The hotel facility is in excellent condition and well maintained. What sets the Prince George apart for us is the level of service and friendliness of the staff. Located in the heart of downtown, there are many great dining options within a short walk however the hotel restaurant, GIO, is one of the best in town. Happy Hour on the terrace is not to be missed! The hotel is located in the middle of the entertainment district so there may be some street noise in the early hours. We usually request a room on the “Citadel” side which tends to be a bit quieter.
