Secluded and Romantic Cabin ~ 35 Private Secluded Acres ~ Jacuzzi Tub!

"Lazy Day's" is the third cabin on 35 private acres of property here in the small community of Muddy Pond. It was a priority to maintain seclusion for each cabin while finding a beautiful spot for building. Located in a hemlock ringed area with just a short walk out to a private gazebo set on a private pond. We believe you will fall in love with this beautiful, peaceful oasis where you can sit on the porch and do absolutely nothing without any guilt. If you enjoy fishing, then you'll appreciate the dock by the gazebo where you can fish for bass or bluegill.

The cabin is only built for 2 and is one open room except for a central fireplace and the private bathroom. It includes a king-size bed with a Jacuzzi beside it. The living room is cozy and you can bring videos to watch on a DVD or VHS player for the quiet evenings. The full back porch is supplied with rockers and a view that is beautiful.

Just a short walk over a little bridge leads to a gazebo out on the water where you can fish or sit in the porch swing.

As soon as you turn in the winding country road tightly hemmed by evergreens you will begin to feel the difference in atmosphere. You've come apart from the rest of the world and this time is just for you - just the two of you.

The cabin rental is in the small community of Muddy Pond where there are unique shops and some good eating at local General Stores, and the Bachen Haus. Horse lovers will enjoy the Leather Shops and nature lovers will appreciate the serenity and natural beauty that is all around. In the fall, watch the old time sorghum mills operate. If you've made this your vacation destination than you may want to go farther afield to the Big South Fork which offers: Horseback Riding, Fishing, White Water Rafting and Hiking; or to Fall Creek Falls, Picket and Cumberland State parks which have: Scenic Trails, Swimming and Boating; Local Wineries, Historic Sights of the Cordell Hull birthplace, Alvin York home place or historic Rugby . The Cumberland is alive with history and beauty. It's a place to relax and reflect and become acquainted with the real Tennessee. Step back to a simpler time and create a precious memory.

Activities at the Cabin: Sitting on the porch rockers watching the birds, relaxing on the hammock enjoying the beautiful view, walking down quiet lanes, reading good books, fishing.
In the community: Sightseeing while leisurely driving the back roads, watching old time sorghum cooking in the fall, browsing crafts and bulk foods at the general store, checking out neat things and gifts at the Leather shop, Variety Store or Country Porch. Farther away: Big South Fork which offers White Water Rafting and Hiking. Fall Creek Falls, Picket and Cumberland State Parks have scenic trails, swimming and boating, local wineries, historic sights of the Cordell Hull birthplace, Alvin York home place and historic Rugby are nearby. Crossville is famous for the golf courses and the Cumberland County Playhouse. The main activity here is relaxing and listening to the sounds of silence.

The other two cabins located on the property are:
-Whippoorwill Hideaway (Vrbo #117836)
-Two's Company (Vrbo# 136035)

NOTE: ** We have a security camera on the exterior by the entrance doors of the rental for your safety and security.

Wonderful and relaxing!
We loved our stay at this cabin! It was so peaceful with the two ponds close by. The mist was moving across the ponds of the mornings which was beautiful. Take the time to hike on Turkey Blind Trail close to the cabin. We saw some deer in the field below through the opening. Finding it may be a little tricky, so follow the directions from the email sent after confirming your stay.

Beautiful setting for relaxing
This cabin was nestled in a rustic surrounding. It offered beautiful scenery, a lake, woods to walk in, fire pit, and plenty of outdoor spaces for relaxing (wraparound porch, gazebo, rocking chairs/porch swings, fire pit, and so much more)! Inside was cozy. Featured a kitchen that made cooking a breeze and a washer and dryer- which is always a perk! We did not use the jacuzzi tub.

Peaceful and Beautiful
We visited this cabin for my husband’s 40th birthday. 30 minutes from the cabin, our car broke down on the side of the interstate. We ended up getting a ride to the cabin and decided to just lean into being stranded for a few days. Talk about unplugging! This location was an amazing place to be stuck without a car. It’s just surrounded by gorgeous green fields and water. We loved hiking the trail and wandering around the area. It’s a truly beautiful place to be and the cabin has everything a couple would need. Thank you for having us!

Our Lazy Days Cabin stay
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Day Cabin. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. Finally, caught some fish after two days but the pond was really low. I do think the cabin is overlooked for us elderly people. There’s no grab bars near the shower. I would prefer a walk-in shower, although that one is fairly new, just a suggestion if you ever change it out. The.steps near the driveway were uneven and required you to step up higher than normal. A small ramp would be nice, especially carrying our suitcases in. The love seat was so hard to push to get the foot rest down with our legs.I know you can’t replace that since it’s new. Just simple things you can do to make it a little easier for us older folks. Like the grab bars and ramp. You’ll understand all this when you get older. We would like to return. We loved it there.

Great place for some time away
Stayed here for an anniversary getaway. It was a great place to hang out and relax together. The weather was awesome while were there, but if it wasn't we would have been happy to stay inside the whole time. The couch was different than what is in the photos, but is a nice 2-seat reclining one. And the hammock was not on the porch. So bring your own if you want it.

So peaceful
Absolutely loved this place. So quite and peaceful. Loved sitting in the swing just looking at the wild flowers and listening to the birds and frogs. The bed was sooo comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was so relaxing. The one and only concern I had was that guests are supposed to wash the towels and sheets, that is NOT the issue as I normally do this anyway, its that there is no bleach to sanatize them in. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect. Would stay again.

Very Peaceful
It was very remote and peaceful, all you hear is the sound nature makes for miles. The trail took us to cows which didn’t like me talking to them 😂. If you go here, stop at the Walmart on the way and get your necessities because the closest store is iga and the groceries were expensive, Walmart is 30 minutes out from there. Get your bait from there too and be prepared to buy some soap from the local stores, they smell so good! If you wake up early, before sunrise and you peak over to the other pond, you’ll see deer hopping around in the mountains fog. I am definitely coming back here.

Peaceful
This is a special place, one of the most peaceful places I have ever been. Truly rejuvenating. In an area that feels like going back in time. The dark skies were great for stargazing too. We really appreciated the accommodations' like the comfy king bed, jetted tub, reclining furniture, and rocking chairs/hammock on the porch.
