Misplaced my wallet
You should immediately fire your front desk, lost&found, reception and entire operations team. I am having a terrible timewith your management. I had visited Westin to meet my uncle Venkat Raman who stayed with you in room#2322. I stayed in room #2215 from 29th June-30th June. Unfortunately I had forgotten my wallet(with very very important business cards) and was fortunately found by Mr. Raman. Before checking-out(on 2nd or 3rd july) Mr.Raman gave it to your front-desk/reception and informed that I will make an arrangement to collect the wallet. Your front desk has put it an envelope and marked it room#2215. Today(5th July), I had arranged a porter to collect my wallet and this is when my ordeal starts: Point#1: Your phone number that is mentioned on website, gets connected and drops in less than 2 minutes. So next time I call I need to start the entire conversation and only to realie the phone gets dropped Point#2: When the item is found by us and given to your reception, your team misplaced it and are unable to find my wallet. Point#3: I had sent a porter to collect after speaking to your team who mentioned it to collect it from front desk, however when my person reached he was made to wait outside and my wallet was never found by your team. How one earth can you misplace my item when we had given it to you. Even if it is there somewhere there is no process of retriving it easily and people are running helter skelter to find info. Location of the hotel and quality was very good but the noise of guests coming to their rooms throughout the whole night with doors closing regularly throughout the nights provided little sleep/.

Beware of Hotels.com cencellation
The Westin Mumbai is a very good hotel with professional staff. I was very impressed with the support given by the Desk Manager Mr Yashvardhan Bhutra. I had mistakenly booked both the Westin Hotel and the Sister Hotel Next doo Lakeside Marriot. If I had booked directly with Marriot group my hotel fees for the Lakeside Marriot would have been refunded in full. This is not the case if you book using Hotels.com. After being challenged and supported by Mr Bhutra I eventually received one of my two nights as a refund but Hotels.com refused to refund my second night. My advice is not to pay through Hotels.com and if possible joint a hotel loyalty program such as Marriot. This allows you credit which can be more generous comp[ared to Hotels.com and will allow full refund for mistakes similar to the double booking I made. My experience following up with Hotels.com was frustrating and they tried to blame everything on the Lakeside Marriot.
