If you like being claustrophobic this is the hotel for you. The rooms are tiny, there is no coffee in your room, and the shower is for little people. The pillows are not good and they do not have queen size beds. Do not take your kids to this area at night. The street is lined with strip bars, and shady characters. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. I just do not see how this hotel gets an 8 rating.

Great location (in the middle of Octoberfest and old town) in a busy city. The hotel was clean and nice. Parking was a bear, luckily the hotel had an agreement with a local garage for a discounted price. Didn’t enjoy the ‘Female dancing club’ right across the street, but felt safe. Enjoyed Munich.

We have no complaints about the hotel or the staff. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is fantastic. The only reason for not 5 stars is the neighborhood. It is very sketchy at night.

Spare room but clean. Beds were hard and unforgiving. Nice, helpful staff; good breakfast. Long but easy walk to Glockenspiel, Viktuellenmarkt. In a noisy, Middle Eastern area but didn’t feel unsafe walking in the evening. A woman alone should not be walking in this area at night. Close to the HBf!

Lovely hotel, great staff and really accessible for the central station and other transport links. The area in which the hotel is located is livelier than I expected and very active in an adult way… not really a problem but a surprise if you’re looking for somewhere more genteel.

The hotel’s location is wonderful just a couple of blocks from the central station. Rooms are clean modern and updated. The area around hotel is noisy and with a lot of people on the street but it is safe.

We had three rooms here in August. We arrived early from a flight from the US and they made one room available so we could store our bags. The staff was good, the rooms were nice. My room was on the main street but it was quiet. The breakfast was good . Close to main train station. All in all a good choice, would definitely go back again. The area around the train station is a bit seedy, but we had no problems and the area seemed safe.

The H Hotel is a serviceable stay for Munich visitors on a budget who aren't looking for any frills. My wife and I stayed 4 nights and had a sufficiently spacious room that was dated but offered areas for us to lay out our belongings. The bathroom was more cramped than we preferred, but the shower was great (just make sure you close the doors carefully to seal them). The wifi was great, and the air conditioning in our room was fantastic--some of the best in our 2.5 week European vacation. We really appreciated it after our hot, muggy days exploring the city. The hotel itself is located conveniently close to Old Town, and is less than 10 minutes walking distance from the main train station. It's a little longer to the Munich Central Bus Station--about 25 minutes walking. For the convenience of proximity, the pricing was a good value. One thing to note is that the actual neighborhood around this hotel may not be ideal for families, as it is noisy, dirty (we saw human feces on the streets on 2 occasions), and has many strip clubs. On the other hand, if you want a place loaded with great Middle Eastern restaurants, this is a great neighborhood for that. Overall, a solid hotel and worth it if you have pragmatic expectations.

Nice
Well located near to Munich train station. The Old Town easily accessible on foot from this hotel. My stay was nice, the room was ok, bed comfortable. I had no view from my room which was disappointing. The breakfast though was excellent. Lots of choice and tasty. I’d stay here again but would certainly ask for a bit more of a view.
