Everything was old. Dirty sofa. Remotes didn’t work properly. I sprayed the bed down with Lysol, got to lower part of the bed; it was sand. Luckily enough we had two beds.

The staff was nice Out dated and definitely could use some maintenance, the room we had some cracks in the paint and bathroom had some mold on the wall by the door. Breakfast was waffles toast and cereal yogurt that was all.. Probably wont stay there again

Good and Bad
Overall, everything was good. But, there is a reason for the 2-stars. When we checked in we were told that the elevator wasn't working. We were told that it was in the website. When we made our reservation with Hotels.com there was no mention of a broken elevator. So, when we checked in, we're told that our room was on the 4th floor and that the elevator was inoperative. I'm 75 and my lady is 71. And, she has a bad foot. No way we're going to go up and down 4 floors. We asked for a lower floor. We were told only available rooms were with ocean view and we would have to upgrade. We are both retired and on a fixed income. My lady was very upset stating "why do we have to upgrade when we did not cause the problem". The answer was that that was the only solution. No, the proper solution would've been for Days Inn to upgrade us. We had just returned from a graduation in Columbia,SC. Now, we were going to spend a few days in Myrtle Beach before heading to Orlando. I don't think that the upgrade would've broke the bank. Rather than go shopping for another hotel, as my lady wanted to do, the upgrade was paid. I think that in situations like this, unless its against Days Inn company policy, compassion and reasoning should persevere. I feel that Days Inn should reimburse us for the upgrade that we were charged for a situation we had no control of. Angel Marrero and Lillian Saldana

The only selling point is the fact that it's on the ocean side of the beach. The motel itself isn't very well kept with the floors being dirty. The bathroom looks like it hasn't been done anything but maybe wiped down, mold was showing and paint was peeling. I didn't like the fact that even though we weren't facing the beach people hung out on the balcony.

The good: housekeeping staff were awesome and super helpful. The bad: the entire time we were there it smelled so strongly of marijuana it made my family nauseous. The floors were so dirty they turned our feet black. Limited breakfast choices. The stairs and platform to the beach are about to fall apart. Terrible water pressure.

Arrived to find out the elevator wasn't working. Booked an oceanfront room but got a view of the hotel next door. Breakfast was almost non existent. Management allowed local people to congregate in the parking lot and act out. Walls were paper thin.

The property does not look like the pictures. Please don’t be fooled by the “ocean front” headings. This is one of the most raggedy hotels I’ve seen. The room was not properly cleaned! Rust on the door hinges. The television looks like a small 32 inch. Which usually isn’t bad. But the distance from the bed to the television makes the television hard to see. Bathroom very very small and dated! I got pictures of how awful this room actually looked

This is a simple, economical hotel. It is about one mile south of the boardwalk, but there are plenty of restaurants and stores (including Walmart) nearby. There is direct access to the beach with a foot wash, and a clean pool. The staff are efficient. The breakfast was waffles, cereal, etal, and yogurt (no eggs or meats). My room was clean with plenty of towels, typical hygiene products, coffeemaker, microwave, small fridge, and no bugs. Downside: I've stayed at many Days Inns and this one is more grotty, mirroring the area at large. There were some interesting characters outside when I initially drove up and I could smell pot several times outside (can't smoke in room). There was a lot of noise outside later at night. As a single traveler, I was very caution. Would I stay here again? Yes, because it was cheap and my room directly overlooked the beach. But adjust your expectations.

There is a hot breakfast of waffles, toast, cereal and yogurt. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The property is older, but maintained well. Beach is accessible from the property. Easy to find attractions in the area.
