Gets the big details right
Excellent location, solid hotel. The pool facilities were strong, the brunch very good (although on second day there was a half hour plus of no available pastries). The people were very nice. The gym was kinda falling apart -- one piece of cardio equipment not plugged in/no wire, the bench missing a piece to be able to adjust headrest, the resistance machine and barbels more than a bit worn out by salt air. Fooz ball machine also had a broken piece, popular ping pong table could have used a twin. And the need for valet parking added big delays into days (more than 15 minutes each time). The big things are great, but improvements possible on the margins.

All the way from Georgia celebrating our daughters 10 b day for 1 night and it was worth it!! Everything we could want appears to be in walking distance. This room is perfect for us….thank you for the getaway!!!

Inconvenient
The beds were so bad we all woke up crippled. The bathroom was not terribly clean, the valet only parking couldn’t handle our SUV with a roof rack so we had to park down the street in public parking. The elevators had lines- all would have been a nightmare during peak season.

Great breakfast
Excellent staff. Fantastic breakfast. However, our beds were extremely uncomfortable. Our internet TV never worked after being assured it was. This was of great concern because we have 80 year old parents who are accustomed and. it for the stay. Rooms were not stocked with amenities and the temperate was off. Close to everything.

Pool water & area temp warm! Hot breakfast okay; bed comfortable, quiet floor/room, even next to elevator/ice machine. Black-out curtains, great!

Our stay was good for the price. Our room was clean and spacious with an excellent ocean view from our balcony. Staff were mostly pleasant aside from one person who told me our room was scheduled for full housekeeping service (they only provide it every other day) and housekeeping never came until I called back. Breakfast buffet was poppin. Free waters daily was a perk. Id stay here again in the off season. The Xmas lights on the boardwalk were super magical.

Valet is a nightmare. There is really not enough space for dropping off your car and picking it up. They should really consider a self-parking option to alleviate the wait times for valet. I requested a room with a bathtub, the front desk confirmed I was getting a room with a tub upon check in, however room did not have a bathtub. Housekeeping is every other day, so we did not experience a cleaning due to our short stay, however, there was food in our microwave from the guests before us. Upon checkout, my receipt had been emailed to me and I realized I was charged for something at the “suite shop” which I, nor my family, never visited. I called back to dispute and the front desk did offer to refund me for it, which was appreciated. The water park was perfect for children, and the rooms were a great size, but based on our overall experience, we would probably not return.
