Upon arrival we were checked into a room where the bathroom tiles had been painted, the safe wasn’t working and the shower was unable to be regulated. It was scalding or freezing no in between. We were moved room the following day which was an improvement. Our biggest issue with the resort came about when my husband lost his wedding ring in the pool. A fellow guest told us they found the ring and handed it into the bar at the pool. It took 2 days of constant enquiries and management visiting a staff member at their village over an hour away to get the ring returned. Overall a very stressful experience. As if that wasn’t enough we were then taunted by staff for the next 2.5 days of our trip making sarcastic remarks about the ring “Make sure that ring is on right you wouldn’t want to lose it” “Are you trying to get a new wife here in Fiji?” “Nice watch better make sure you don’t lose that too”. Might have been funny the first couple of times but after 2 days it was no laughing matter.
This hotel is dated and is in bad need of renovation, if you are going expecting the Hilton experience your expectations will not be met
