If you want good night sleep, skip this hotel. The Wall is so thin you can hear next door conversation all night long. Room is very small and doesn’t look as nice as you see on the photograph. What about service? The Door man at the entrance (inside) watching us unloading wheelchair, letting disable person out of car and didn’t even come out and give us a hand until I yell out for the help. (We are the only the gust at the door) I have asked GM why he was like that? GM reply back to me saying his job is to escort the guest who have enter the hotel. This tell you all about how they service you. Their fundamental attitude is very poor right from the beginning to the end.

Really nice facility. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast. Sirens woke me up a few times during the night. Must be near an emergency services station. If you're a light sleeper you may want to bring some earplugs.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was a good size. The bed was very firm. We ate at the hotel’s Italian restaurant and the food was good. After dinner we went for a walk and the neighborhood was clean and safe, but there was not much to see...not even a park. In the morning we had the hotel buffet breakfast. It had a good variety of items, but the coffee came from a machine and sadly it was not good.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms were a good size. Staff were friendly, and helpful when needing advice on where to go. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the train station, but an easy walk. The area around the hotel is quite quiet, so you'll need to head towards the station for activities. Breakfast St the hotel wasn't great, but had the basics if you don't need a full English. Overall a very pleasant stay, and would stay here again.

Everything was nice and clean and I would have liked to stay there were it not for the terrible Wi-Fi, the worst I have seen during my journeys in Japan. You needed to connect through the TV, a very odd scheme. It went out every 10 to 20 seconds and then I needed to reconnect, which easily took 2 minutes every time. Totally nerve-wrecking. Ruined an entire evening for me until I finally went downstairs to the lobby where it was decent. However, the lobby Wi-Fi is not secure as it would have been in my room, had it worked.

right in the middle of nagano.
Good 4* hotel in between the main tourist areas - the station / shops and Zenko-ji temple complex. Nagano is not a large city, so perfectly walkable from either location. The hotel itself was fine - staff were welcoming, and happy to converse in either Japanese or English, and check-in / out was efficient and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend staying in the tower wing rather than the regular one by the way, it's newer and better decorated. The only mild issue was that they only had two single beds available rather than one queensize, but that was more down to it being a busy season for nagano rather than anything the hotel did wrong! Anyway, would be happy to stay there again if revisiting Nagano.

This is a great place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of this hotel room. It is very large for a Japanese hotel. It is similar to an Embassy Suites hotel in the U.S. We booked a twin room and ended up with a three bed room. It had a large sitting area separate from the bedroom and a large bath with a separate sink area. We were put in the older tower of the hotel, but felt like we booked into the penthouse suite. This hotel is a fifteen to twenty minute walk from the train station or an $11 taxi ride. Highly recommend staying at this hotel for comfort, service and location. There is a Denny's restaurant just over two blocks from the hotel where you can get more Western style meals at a great value.
