Common things to do in this part of Japan include snowboarding.It's well known that we Aussies are pretty chilled, so consider staying a little longer and check out the Manekineko Museum of Art and the Sanyo Gakuen University, which you'll find in Okayama, 20 kilometres to the north of Naoshima-cho. Or, you could consider staying in Sensui Island, 55 kilometres to the west of Naoshima-cho, where you can choose from the Hotel Ofutei and Migiwatei Ochi Kochi. Sakamoto Ryoma Shukuhakuato and the Fukuzenji Temple are just some of the more popular sites to explore while in Sensui Island.
Onomichi is located 75 kilometres away from Naoshima-cho. While you are in the region, you may wish to visit the Senko-ji Temple, Senkoji Park and Jyodo Shrine. The Onomichi Motion Picture Museum and the Saikokuji Temple are also worth checking out.
