Not what we expected based on the description.
This was my first vacation since my cancer treatments. I was so excited to get to beautiful RI. The location of this hotel was beautiful, but immediately when we checked in, my Mom was bothered by the smell of mold. The room we were in was nice, but the bathroom was tiny and the shower head was broken, we had to hold it while we showered and it still made the entire floor wet. The mold in there was too much too. You had to move the faucet in the sink to wash your face without getting the floor wet. The staff was super friendly and helpful, but the beds were so uncomfortable, we opted to leave one night early. For the money I paid, I expected a lot more.

I dont want this to come off as a bad experience. This is just a critique of a few things that made my experience less enjoyable. When you pay over $400/night for a room, you expect a little more than what we got. The property is close to the water, but the rooms are set back slightly. We still had a view of the water from our room. We stayed on the second floor. This is more of a motel due to entering the room from the outside. The dumpster is in the back where you enter. The room looks fresh and crisp, but the floors were filthy. My feet were black after a few minutes. The shower pressure wasnt great. Probably the most problematic thing of our stay was the sink. It is a small wall mounted sink with very little space to place things. There is a small shelf that actually gets in the way when washing or brushing teeth. There are two full beds but I think two queens would have fit fine. The deck is decent, but its a shared deck with other rooms. We had 3 families so it was nice to have 3 sections of the deck together. Overall, this place wasnt bad. The area just isnt what Im used to. There aren't many restaurants or shops, so the beach is the only thing to do. The beach is expensive ($46 for a family of 3 to park and enter) and its very small and not very nice.

Overall it was nice but details matter, there was dirt/scum at the bottom of the shower door &track, dried bird poop on the outdoor furniture. The sink looks cute but it’s not easy to wash your face over so water got all over the floor. Balcony railing slats were rotted out, my 2yr old son pushed against one and he almost fell through, luckily we were right beside him. We reported it to the staff and they said they would fix it the next day.

The property itself is lovely, waterfront with a nice bar and sitting area on the front lawn. However the floors in the upstairs rooms should be carpeted. We stayed on the first floor and above us were toddlers continually stomping and running back and forth across the floor pushing what sounded like chairs or toys all across the wood floor starting at 6 a.m. It was incredibly annoying and not a very peaceful stay for us. They checked out the next day but it would have been nice to have been offered some kind of concession after complaining to the front desk. So I would recommend not staying on the ground floor.

Great Hotel with Cool Bar and Restaurant
Overall great experience, our AC wasn’t working and without question we were moved to a new, larger room, the front desk moved all of our bags for us which they didn’t have to do. Rooms were basic but clean and quiet. The lobby bar and restaurant are awesome, would stay again.

This hotel is showing photos of chairs on a lawn overlooking the ocean. When I asked at the desk about using this area I was told it’s a restaurant and the hotel is unaffiliated with the attached restaurant and I would need to talk to the restaurant about the chairs. They did let me sit but wanted to bring us drinks. In reality the hotel sits farther back and there is no where to sit and relax and look at the water unless you go and eat at the restaurant. I feel like the hotel is not honestly representing itself. Disappointed.

The Shore House was very disappointing and deceiving Wow! Before writing this review, I wanted to review the website to make sure I am not fibbing. So, my girlfriend and I wanted to go to Narragansett, RI last minute. The only place available was The Shore House, total cost over 600.00. I get it, last minute and location. I was very excited to have fun since my friend came in from CA. Check in was easy. I thought for that amount we paid for the room, we would have a beautiful balcony over looking the water. Instead our room was in back, bottom floor looking at a parking light. Sometimes if cars were not parked, we could see the sea wall. If you review the website, the camera scans the main building and does not show the basic motel like rooms. What made me so mad and disgusted was the following; my friend and I wanted a drink at the bar at Sea Craft attached to the Shore House around 8:30PM. There were many people standing/sitting around on the front lawn where the fire pit was located. We found two chairs and quietly talking amonst ourselves by the fire pit. Then the wait staff stated, "Are you part of the wedding party?" We stated no. She stated that we had to leave. I did not understand. Here we paid over 600.00 for one night and wanted to relax in front of the fire pit. She stated that the Sea Craft restaurant is not part of the Shore House and we had to What made me so mad and disgusted was That we paid over $600 for a night and we could not even relax as a guest

This was a great place to stay if you like the area.the area doesn’t have a lot to do with kids other than going to the beach or finding food. The restaurant was very good on site and the room was very modern and clean. The check in staff was awesome and very nice and the restaurant staff was very attentive and took care of us. This is not a property issue at all but we were surprised at how little there was do to in the area. Not a lot of kids things nor shopping. We did have a very nice stay and the staff should be proud of their efforts because it shows!

Located right across the street from the walkway along the ocean made this really convenient to stroll. The good and drinks were excellent at the restaurant. All of the staff were really friendly. The room was decorated in retro 50's style, which really looked nice. There were flowers all around the front door patio which smelled and looked wonderful. We would definitely go back here again.
