I would visit the Bahamas again, but not Margarittaville. My stay there was not the best. When checking into the room, the toilet was already broken. The phone in the room I was in didn’t work. I told housekeeping that it was broken, she stated she would call someone to fix it. She never did. A day later I went to the front desk, they did not send anyone until late in the day . I was told I had to move everything to another room because the issue couldn’t be fixed. They moved me to a smaller room at 9pm, which sucked. They have a water park at the facility but only two small water slides are available to kids under 48 inches. I wished I knew that. I brought my 4 year old here for his birthday. The cafe did not have any candles during dinner service. They have hidden fees so after you pay Expedia, you get there and are asked to pay a daily resort fee. It is pricey. I gave it two stars because I liked the food that I ordered, however it is very expensive. I would definitely visit another resort instead.

1st time to Nassau. We decided to come to Margaritaville because of pricing mainly. Overall it is a nice family friendly resort. The beach was gorgeous. The reason I did not rate the resort a 5 is because of price gouging. Everything is way overpriced. I paid $7 for a pen as an example. I have a family of 4 and every time I ate it was at least $120-$130 and this was burgers and chicken fingers. The resort was very clean as was our room and the location is great. My kids had a blast in the water park all day so much the didn’t even want to go onto the beach. But again $4 drinks at the bar was over $100 plus tip. Kind of ridiculous. I went down the street and was able to get local food and beverages more affordably. The locals are a great time. Atlantis looks 5 times as big by the way.

We were here a year ago and it was a great resort came again this year and it was very dirty with broken facilities. Pretty disappointing! We didn’t let the kids get in the pools for fear of bacteria.

Although booking Margaritaville, I found out my reservation would only be valid at the one particular harbor hotel, which is quite annoying because all of the kid features are on the opposite side of the property (main reason for booking). I had no idea this resort was cashless, and also would be charged a large additional amount for a “credit” to be used for food and drinks at the property. There are only two actual reaturants and the menus are the same every single day. Food quality is mediocre at best and comparable to Applebees at premium prices. Local shops and on-site gift stores, cafes, ect close very early. Activities such as rock climbing, and basketball never even opend. Beaches extreamly crowded and full of trash. Our safe also magically opened when we were out and a cellphone was stolen. The only response was to submit a list and found ticket. Have tried calling the hotel several times and am told I can only talk to reservations. Property, amenities, communication, and saftey are seriously lacking, guest beware.
