The hotel was nice, the rooms I would say were holiday inn equivalent. We booked a river view king room and were put on the end of the 8th floor which looked at the roof of the pool room which was disappointing. The rooms were dated, the bathroom was absolutely nothing special. We had an Amazon package shipped to the hotel and they charged us a “handling fee” for having the package delivered there. The breakfast buffet was incredibly expensive at $30 a person for mediocre food and didn’t even have a big selection of food. Pancakes, eggs, chicken and waffles and omelets with a small fruit station. We had reservations across the river at the Swissotel and I wish we would have kept it. For $400 a night, I had higher expectations and was let down considerably.

Bathroom shower walls were caked with build up - tub drain was plugged. Maintenance made a remark as if it was my fault for it being clogged but I didnt even get to wash my hair or shave my legs due to the tub filling with water & making me feel even more dirty, I got out and asked it get unclogged before showering again. Tv would not function without hotel employee assistance, wifi was difficult to connect personal devices without employee assistance. Discussed my experience as I was checking out & the employee made a remark that the view of the room must not have impressed me & my guests. However, I am not sure why a view should make me overlook my accessibility to a functional shower & tv / experience.. Valet though AMAZING customer service toward me & my guests as well as providing safety to those on side walks, those being picked up by car service or those driving by or in the area of hotel parking/pickup dropoff.

Property does not have valet parking and self parking at hotel fills up really fast. We had to park two blocks away at self public parking. I do not recommend if you have a vehicle that you want valet or to park at the hotel since it's not guaranteed.

It was so close and convenient to all the activities I was looking for. The ride share you want its all by the front door tou don't have to walk farther.

Brand new hotel and in the best location for anything you need. The hotel buffet breakfast cost is worth the price at the Riverside cafe but if you just want something quick their pastries are amazing also. If that isn’t enough there is a French bakery right down the street. Everything is walkable and very safe. When I go back to Chicago I will definitely stay here. Convent location also for all things to do with kids and of course Michigan Ave.

Great spot, we came to town for Lollapalooza and it was a great location to stay at for the festival. Pool was nice, view was great. The junior suite we booked didn’t come with club lounge access, which was surprising for the price we paid, but over all would stay here again.
