This hotel suited our purpose perfectly. Perfect for downtown activities including lake trail access, food, and public transportation. We were there for the Pearl Jame shows at Wrigley and there was a short walk to the CTA Redline that went there without having to change trains or take a bus. Staff was excellent.

The hotel is tiny, only has two very small elevators even though there are 16 floors and a lot of people. The room is ok, tiny bathroom and very noisy AC. I don’t think it’s worth the price.

Always Nice, Price is right.
It’s always nice at the St. Clair. Staff is super friendly. No credit card hold! Easy 2 minute check in. High end Mediterranean restaurant onsite. Walking distance to everything! Located in the Gold Coast. Not the mag mile. The one thing I dislike is they don’t have a service elevator for the cleaning staff, so they are alway in the elevator. You can take this as good or bad. They are always cleaning. I met the cleaning manager, she is thorough! (I asked abt specifics) I wish they had a service elevator because once the elevator is backed up it can be a few minutes wait, simply because it only holds 5 ppl at a time. Other than that! Perfect place to stay!

Very very very slow and TIGHT elevator. There was a silverfish bug in our room, bathroom was not fully cleaned, there was also hair on the sheets and a beer can under the bed.
