Convenient for city.
The hotel is very well situated for visiting Cambridge. They have a car park which is convenient but very pricey. The room was lovely, but the bathroom was very compact, to use the toilet was practically impossible. I admit I am a larger person, but there was no room at all to manoeuvre, both my shoulders were wedged between a glass shower screen and a tiled wall. The fan did not switch off either. We used the bar, and the barman did not know the difference between a whiskey and a bourbon. The hotel itself is very smart, the staff predominantly were good. Overpriced though.

I booked for my parents to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary. I chose the Gonville because the staff are well-trained and I knew they would receive excellent service. They had an absolutely wonderful stay and I would like to thank the whole team for making their stay so special.

Very lovely hotel in centre of Cambridge. Fabulous breakfast and evening meal. Very convenient and Tesla charge point. Not cheap but worth it.

Very lovely hotel, staff very approachable and helpful, perfect location to explore Cambridge. The downside was the food which was disappointing, not well cooked, and for what you got expensive. Have enjoyed much better fare at far less prestigious hotels where there was a really effort to present fresh, vibrant and tasteful meals cooked with care, flare and overall consideration.

Food in the bar was not up to expectations. Not even up to good pub food standards. I had salad niscoise and the tuna was full of sinew and barely edible . Not the best meal we have had
