The refuge inn was beautiful! The grounds were immaculate and filled with lovely flowers and plants. The pool area was like an oasis and we loved having the ponies close by.

The room was beautiful, it’s not just a hotel room. The outside area is beautiful with all of the different plants and flowers. The pool was clean and the water temperature was perfect. The only area that could use a little attention is the sauna. We would definitely stay again.

Both staff and lodging guests were very pleasant. No one was disruptive and parents kindly supervised their children. Pool facility was top notch and accommodations were very comfortable. It was nice to see a broad section of guests and ages using this establishment.

Easy to find, beautiful spacious room and most grateful for the tranquility the resort offered. We loved seeing the ponies every morning. While we didn't get to enjoy the indoor pool during our short visit it looked absolutely amazing. The resort is perfectly located just before the beach and close by to the restaurants. So thankful for this gem!

Just like the other reviews said - cozy and family- friendly. Really peacefu place and we were able to walk into the refuge from here. Bonus - their gift shop is excellent and has really fun puppets for kids and unique items as well as all the sunscreen and bug repellent you forgot. I love that they had coffee and hot water/ tea available all day. I did not expect to be able to have hot green tea every morning or chamomile every evening but there it was - an excellent touch.

Our room was on the ground floor and was very nicely decorated and well laid out. The room came with a dehumidifier that made the room very comfortable with out much use of the air conditioner. Horses to interact with were right next door!

The staff was extremely nice and helpful and gave lots of recommendations for the dining and activities around the area it’s also located right in front of the bike rental so easy to get to and right by the entry to go to the beach there is really nice accommodation at the hotel like the pool hot tub gym and sauna. The room were very clean, only problem I had was with the tv the control wasn’t connected to it only to the dvd player and had to use the buttons on the tv to switch channel. But the overall experience was great.

A thoughtful, charming refuge
Such a special place! This was our first stay at the Refuge Inn but will now be our go-to spot whenever we have a couple of nights to slip away to the beach. The hotel is immaculate, charming, and filled with warmth and care that the big chains simply cannot compete with. We loved the special soap they have made just for the hotel so much that we purchased some from the gift store. The room was a bit small for our family of 5 (including 3 teens) once they brought the toll-away bed in, but for a quick two night stay it worked just fine. Spent a bit of our last morning watching the ponies on site and fell in love with the young foals. We can hardly wait to come back.
