The Place To Stay
We usually stay here in New Orleans because of its great location. It has recently been refurbished and the rooms and bathrooms are really nice! We had a mini-suite and it had plenty of room for two people on a three night stay. It's three short blocks from Jackson Square and Cafe Dumont, a great breakfast stop! The hotel is also close by to the Natchez steamboat, carriage rides, restaurants and shopping. Don't miss the three streetcar rides, Audobon Park and the National World War II museum. We always have a nice time in New Orleans!

Beautiful stay for a vacation extension after a cruise. 5 minute walk to Cafe du Monde, less than 10 minute walk to Bourbon Street, and many places to dine and drink very close. Safely walkable from Cruise Port (but I was not sure and took a very short taxi ride for $21). Beds were just good for comfort, staff was amazing all the way around, and the courtyard is beautiful and quiet for such a busy area. The only disappointment was the horrible k cup coffee, definitely the worst I have ever had at a hotel (and my sister and niece both agreed). Fortunately, there is a coffee shop next door. I would stay again and bring my own coffee. Note that there is no microwave in the room, but there is a mini fridge. There are a microwave and snack/drink vending machines in the pool house, which was convenient as we checked out christmas day and dining was limited.

The French Market Inn is centrally located in the French Quarter. Easy walking distance to all areas of the French Quarter. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about local markets and businesses.

Always enjoy our stay at FMI. Everyone is so pleasant. Not a problem but I had a hard time trying to communicate with some of the housekeeping staff. They obviously didn't speak English. Not a deal breaker. I will always come to FMI first when planning a trip to NOLA.

The staff are very friendly, and the hotel is quite beautiful - especially the courtyard/pool area. It is a smaller hotel, but has plenty of amenities and is very walkable to a lot of pubs, restaurants, and the Quarter. I would definitely stay here again. 5 stars!
