Mid City 2 BR in Beautiful Arts and Crafts House

The house is an early 20th century Arts & Crafts style triplex with original details intact, including a fireplace in the dining room, and original heart pine woodwork, oak floors and bathroom tile.

House was renovated in 2018 and received a new kitchen, refreshed bathroom.

We live on the other side and a regular tenant lives downstairs. This is not a party house, we're looking for quiet guests who will enjoy our home and neighborhood. At least one of the guests must be over 21. We are just four blocks from the Canal Street streetcar line, which will take you to City Park or downtown and the French Quarter.

Late check-in is fine, because the door is operated with the code and not a key.

Lovely home in Mid City
The home was amazing. Well stocked for all your basic needs, the property owners were very helpful if we needed anything and super easy to communicate with. The home was just what we needed for our family of 4 while we enjoyed the city. Super close to lots of food, drinks and the streetcar for easy transportation options! We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come again!

If you need two bedrooms in New Orleans at a reasonable price, this is a good place. It was comfortable, well located for our needs, quiet and well equipped. I would stay there again.

Cozy home
Mid City did not disappoint. The home is Cozy and had everything we needed. Mike and Damion were excellent hosts. They responded quickly to text messages as well. Free off street parking was a plus. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I wish the curtains were blsckout but that's not a bad thing. We didn't have to travel far to get attractions or restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. I also like we didn't have to do a lot at checkout! If I'm ever in New Orleans again, I'd stay at Mid City.

What a gem!
Everything about this property was as described and more. The location was perfect for our needs. We were close enough areas we wanted to explore and far enough from those areas to feel safe in our quiet little neighborhood. Our hosts were very attentive and available at a moments notice! We will definitely recommend this host to friends and family looking for a sweet place in NOLA!

Mike was very helpful to make our vacation to New Orleans great. He was very personable and had a great attention to detail. The house is located 15 minutes from the French Quarter using the historic streetcar. Much better to stay in a house vs a hotel ... a home away from home!

A few hiccups, but would stay again
The property and owners were great! Unfortunately, our visit started with the air conditioner not working. I contacted the owners and they got a repairman out the next day. Unfortunately he did not have all of the parts to fix it at the time, so we ended up with two pretty hot nights. That said, all of this was out of the owners’ hands and they did everything they could to help, including providing a window AC unit for our toddler’s room (the hottest room in the house). The only other minor issues were that only one of the stove burners worked and the water filter on the fridge needed to be replaced. The owners offered to try and get the stove looked at as well, but I specifically told them not to worry about fixing it during our stay because I really only needed the one burner. It really was a series of unfortunate events with the AC and appliances, and I don’t blame the owners at all because these things just happen sometimes. Even with all of these issues, we really loved the house and location and would definitely stay there again in the future. The owners were thoughtful and responsive throughout everything and demonstrated why they have earned such a high rating!

This apartment (a unit in tri-Plex) is clean, warm and safe. Quiet neighborhood. Location is easy walk to Canal Street street car line. No need for rental car if you are staying in the City. Having host next door is nice for any questions or issues which may arise. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Find!
My family came to New Orleans for the New Orleans Bowl. This home was a great find! The house was very comfortable-everything we needed was there. We had our own parking space in the driveway. This location was close to every venue we went to. We just took Ubers and never had to move our car. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to reach. We would definitely stay there again!

Great location and beautiful home
We had such a great stay at this beautiful Mid-City home! Perfect location for getting to all the typical NOLA attractions and easy access to the airport. We grabbed lunch with just a short walk and a night cap around the block. Quiet and relaxing neighborhood. Streetcar is also close. Mike and Damion are wonderful hosts. Felt very much at home in this VRBO. Great bed, workspaces & Wifi (should you need to setup a laptop), huge kitchen, everything you could possibly need should you forget toiletries. Lots of thoughtful aspects. We hope to have an opportunity to visit in the future!

This was the perfect place for our 1 week stay. The neighborhood is quiet and the perfect location for catching the streetcar. The owners are helpful, friendly, and did a really nice job putting together a useful information packet that really took some of the worry out of being in a new city.

Amazing visit
I would not be able to say enough nice things about this visit/property. Firstly, the communication with the hosts was fantastic. They live in the apartment next door, so they introduced themselves upon our arrival and helped me carry in my luggage. They are very kind and helpful. There are so many thoughtful details in the apartment. It is very clean and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows! The bathroom was stocked with every amenity you could possibly think of! I thought that was an incredible attention to detail. 10/10 would definitely recommend this property and would stay again when I'm in the area. There were lots of brochures available for things to do in the area. The hosts had a print out of suggested things to do and places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Excellent Temporary Home
We stayed for just under a week. It was clean, had an excellent kitchen to fit our needs, laundry on site, easy access to house and surroundings, fast response to questions, and an overall phenomenal experience! Thanks for having us! We did have an incident where a few blocks around us lost electricity for about 8 hours, but the owners were quick to respond to inquiries and kept us in the loop as the city fixed the issue. This was nothing that could have been controlled or prevented on their part, and they were very pleasant when handling the issue.

Above what I expected!!
It was so nice. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. They helped us with anything we asked. And the house was very cute and very clean. It's a lot bigger than the photos show. There were four of us we were very comfortable. Even the sofa was comfy. That house has all the convenience of home, we were able to cook and eat there which saved us some money. It's close to the street car line. So we walked to the street car stop and hopped on and went wherever we wanted. The neighborhood it's in was pretty nice, there's restaurants and bars you can walk to in the neighborhood as well. Even the grocery store is close by. I highly recommend this house to anyone!!!

Charming, spacious in great neighborhood. Perfect.
I cannot think of anything I would change about this property or the hosts, and I'm an honest reviewer. The home is much more spacious than it appears from the street. It was just beautiful inside. The shotgun style architecture positions the bedrooms far from the street so it was very quiet. It was a great place for 4 people to hang out in the evenings and an easy bike ride to Jazz Fest, Sculpture Garden, parks. It's nice to be in a real neighborhood, gave us a much better sense of the culture. There were thoughtful touches that are uncommon in rental properties - good supply of seasonings and condiments in the very nice kitchen. Beyond that, the bathroom had everything you could need - sunscreen, bug repellant, facial cleansers. It was just thoughtful. We will stay here again when we return.
