What was once the Ace is now a deuce
Property is aging quickly. Mold smell in room & basement amenity floor. Bed was old and shaped like a taco from being slept on too much. Everything in mini fridge expired. AC went out for entire property. Significant wear and tear to common spaces. Slow elevators.

It’s time for a renovation… the Ace is old.
Every hotel eventually becomes stale, outdated and soiled, the Ace NYC has reached that point. I’ve been coming here for 12+ years and it’s all still the same stuff. The decor is old, carpets are mildewed and the couches are stained. Love this hotel but it is in serious need of a renovation.

Nice hotel - though a little old. For the first night of my stay and the next 24 hours there was no AC, just the “fan” option - leading to the room being very hot. I would have appreciated being informed of this, since I doubt it was a spur of the moment thing. I had to come down to the front desk to find out that it was being repaired.

The for a “4 star hotel” you would expect the AC to work and at least the rooms to be clean. This hotel had neither and was a huge overpriced disappointment. My room was over 92 degrees and when I was offered a different room, it was covered in black mold and even hotter! Unacceptable.
