Decent, but with some annoying hassles
It's a two star hotel, and that came with some things that I should have expected but caused some annoyance. The elevator is slow, enough so where using it to move luggage into my room on the 2nd floor was not worth the wait compared to using the stairs. It was something I could handle, but for folks that are not as mobile may find that difficult. In my room I noticed that there was no information for logging into the wifi. When I asked the front desk the clerk asked for my phone and entered the password for one of the wifi connections available. I did not think that was professional, since I needed that password for my laptop as well and ended up just looking up what the password was in my settings. The more annoying things dealt with the plumbing. The sink drained slowly, so being economical with it in general use was something I had to keep in mind. The first use of the toilet clogged it, and there was no plunger in the room. I visited the front desk to ask for one, the clerk mentioned one would be brought up, or it would be taken care of, and I went out for lunch. I returned an hour later and the toilet was still clogged. I returned to the front desk, asked about the plunger, the clerk had forgot and said they would bring one up later. Back in my room, it wasn't long before it was brought to me, and I could take care of the clog myself, but the plunger didn't quite fit. Eventually I managed to unclog it, but it was a hassle I've never dealt with in a hotel before.

I stayed for two days and definitely enjoyed my stay. The rooma are small but very neat. The staffs were polite and very nice. I would stay here again and I'll recommend this place.

The room was very dirty. We booked for 2 nights and left after the 1st night. After checking in around 5 pm told the receptionist about dirty toilet. He promised to send someone to clean. We went out to return around midnight. Turned on the AC and immediately had to turn it off due to dust and mold. The toilet was not cleaned. Checked out next morning at 10 am but didn't get refund back for the 2nd night. No breakfast even the website said breakfast included. Tiny room size. One good thing was the parking. Thanks.Can upload pictures if options given.

I want to start by saying we had stayed at this hotel in 2023 and had really had a good experience. This hotel now is under new management and is much more expensive. Despite this, we decided to stay at the Grandview again in 2024. Things didn't start out well. My partner and I felt discriminated against by the front desk clerk because we are gay women. The clerk refused to check us in early, although minutes later he checked two separate parties -- one single male and one hetero couple. When we did check in after pointing out the difference in check-in policy the room we were provided was very disappointing: nowhere to hang your clothes, no drawers for clothes, no bedside table, the bed was broken, the sink would not drain. When the front desk clerk agreed that we could change to another room the following day, there was no option provided to us other than to re-pack all our things and store them in our car since we were going to be out all day and then moving to the new room (although when we returned later to the hotel that evening to change rooms a male guest was given his suitcase from behind the front desk where apparently it had been stored all day). More discrimination. There was no housekeeping provided for a 4-night stay. I would not recommend this hotel.

I didn't expect luxury, but broken window shade/curtain (couldn't block bright nighttime lighting), terrible bed (like a sleep sofa mattress), noisy a/c were disappointing. I was there three nights, repeatedly asked that the window shade be fixed and room be made up (to at least change the bath towels and empty the trash). Nothing was done until I.brought dirty towels.and bag of trash to the front desk on the 3rd night.
