Property entrance was impressive with its 1920’s style but the room was tired and in need of a refurbishment - air con very noisy with a rattle & wasn’t working well, bathroom door lock falling out & no hot water for a whole day. Staff very serious about life so didn’t make you feel that welcoming.

Let me start with the only downside about the property - the rooms are on the smaller side (ots an older building - thats just how they were made), but the fact that they manage to fit 2 queen beds in the room more than makes up for it. Now for the many positives - excellency location - just steps away from Times Square and minutes from any theater we attended. Beautiful art-deco style added to the overall ambiance, and the building is very well staffed and maintained. I would happily stay here again.

Had someone knocking on our door at 4:50 am and never really got a good answer how someone was on our floor without having a key to a room and not knowing which room is theirs?! The lighting in the room was the only negative thing for us. Bright lights or more lights would be great. Maybe something overhead?

Aside from the rather noisy elevators in this old building, I have no complaints. My bath & decor were recently updated. For theater goers, the location is ideal. Staff were friendly and accommodating. If you elect to use then offered meal vouchers, AVOID the free ‘grab & go’ choice and pay $6.50 for a full breakfast instead. You won’t be disappointed.
