The location is good walking distance to major attractions. The property was clean, staff pleasant. The breakfast was excellent! We had an issue with our blinds but the staff responded promptly and got them fixed. The only negative from my end was the noise outside but for the area that you are in it is to be expected.

The hotel was great except for the smelly room we had. The smell seemed to be penetrated from the carpet, I bought some febreze to help while we stayed in the room. The room needed deep carpet cleaning.

Good Midtown option for families
We chose this Hyatt because it could accomodate 2 adults and 2 teenagers, with separate beds, in one room in a central Manhatten location. We were pleased with our choice. The room was spacious (for New York), a bit squeezed with the sofa bed open as expected. The bathroom was felt large (again, for New York) We are picky about hotel cleanliness and were happy with what we found. The roof terrace is a nice place to sit and take in the views. The things to watch for: only 2 lifts for 26 floors so there can be a long wait at busy tmes especially breakfast and there can be a lack of space for guests at breakfast.

The Hotel was nice and clean, the room was comfortable and quiet… Breakfast was decent also.. The only problem was there were only 1 elevator working so getting to your floor took a few mins but overall this is one of my fav hotels when staying in the city.

The property was a great location. Short walk to Times Square, Penn Station, subway stations at 34st and herald and plenty of food options in the area. The breakfast they offered was a good variety of hot and cold items and was a great way to get the day started. The observation deck on floor 26 also was an added bonus with a good view of the Empire State Building. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family for sure. We used the LIRR to get from the airport to Penn Station then used the subway for the 6 days and had no other costs for transportation becaus3 of this great location.

It was fine. Lacked some basic niceties like complimentary bottled water and coffee in the lobby more than at breakfast. Desk staff were minimalist with communication but pleasant enough.
