smallest hotel room ever
It was an uncomfortable stay because the room was too small and too hot. The room was designed well to maximize function but it was just too small. We had to live out of our suite cases laid around the bed which blocked the walk way around the bed.The metal door piece to hold the bathroom barn door closed so others don't open the door when being used fell off the first time we tried to use this "locking mechanism." The room was set to 68 deg but felt like it was 75 deg and wouldn't get cooler. I wish they had bigger rooms. We loved the location.

Avoid this hotel. Small, unfriendly lobby, full of people waiting for the elevators which cannot accommodate the hotel capacity. I have never seen a 2 star hotel lobby with only 2 chairs for the patrons to sit!!! Lobby at 'Motel 6' is much better….Rooms at Red Roof Inn are much more spacious! This is a 45 stories building with only 4 small elevators... this design flaw means long waiting times and crowded lobby. No bathrooms by the lobby, 2nd floor bar, or by the the breakfast areas level 1 and 2. So 100 guests are supposed to wait 5-10 minutes for the elevator and use the 7-8 toilets and urinals distributed between men and women bathrooms located at the C level. This hotel has the smallest rooms and smallest sink vanity I ever experienced! A room of 180 square feet means less than 14x14 feet, they cramp 2 queen beds in there and market it as 4-people occupancy… Bathroom door slides, as there is no space for a normal door to open Complimentary breakfast is another “unforgettable” experience. The dining room on the second floor and the breakfast room on the main floor cannot accommodate the volume, so guests eat standing up, or while waiting for the elevator with plates in their hands, trying to take the food to the rooms… and these are people who paid for a 4 star hotel!!! Manhattan skyline views from upper floors are 5 stars, linen 5 stars, service 1 star, front desk and lobby 0 stars, rooms 1 star, price unjustifiably high, overall a 2-star experience. Avoid!

The elevators at this property are terrible. It did not matter what time of day it was, you were waiting a minimum of 10 minutes for an elevator, and that’s even if it showed up. We were on the 31st floor and took the stairs down every time. Rooms are tiny. Whatever tiny means in your mind, make it smaller and that is what is here. A/C is loud and noisy. Stayed for 4 nights and room was cleaned once. I had to take out my own trash. Not that I mind, but not what I expect for $624 per night. Do not stay here. There are much better options.

We booked this hotel because we've always liked Hyatt Place hotels. NOT this one. It's designed as a sardine can, cramming as many people as possible into a small place, with elevators so inadequate that twice we just gave up after waiting 15 minutes and took the stairs (even with suitcases). The place so crowded that they ran out of food during the so called included breakfast. Out of coffee, milk, everything but the cheese cubes. And that's a bad management issue in addition to the unfriendly design. Book here if you choose but we will not be back.
