We stayed in a Hudson Suite - it appeared that the hotel has changed their room rates and we jumped at the chance to stay in one of these suites. Great room, panoramic view of the Hudson. Definitely stay here again if the rates stay reasonable. Only bad aspect of the stay was that the rooftop bar was closed.

We’ve stayed at Ink48 many times. We’ve always enjoyed the views, the amenities & the comfort. This overnight stay was for a sleep before leaving for a cruise the next morning. We got the cheapest accommodation due to that fact. We were on the 4th floor facing the street. The noise was off the hook, the air conditioning didn’t work. It was the only bad experience we have had at Ink48

They should really let people know that there is NO ROOM SERVICE , no restaurant no pool , no amenities at all it felt like an airbnb which defeated the purpose of me renting a luxury hotel

Hidden fees and busted AC
I think I was charged over 100 dollars for valet parking service plus a 30 dollar tip. I had no clue I was going to be charged that much as the price isn’t advertised online. Once my family and I were settled in the room, we turned on the AC and went to bed. The sleep wasn’t good because the room never cooled down. The AC was set to 71 but the actual room temp was between 80-82. Hotels.com quoted me $333.06 (taxes and fees included) for one night. INK48 charged me $439.60 for one night with the valet parking. Keep in mind, this is after an alleged discount for being put in a room with a broken AC unit. I will not be using this hotel again.

Overnight before cruise. Perfect location, one block to cruise terminal so easy walk. Lots of restaurants and an Irish pub nearby. Felt safe. Room very clean.

Great location for a night. Booked Hudson Suite, the first room had no AC! Thank god they moved us into the Hudson Suite with AC. Was beautiful view from floor 11. Clean and comfortable.

Pros: We enjoyed the locution since it was close to the cruise. Cons: The rooftop bar is now closed and there wasn’t anywhere to get a cocktail unless you venture out. The carpet was wet next to the bathroom and when we took a shower I understood why. The walking shower is totally flat so when you take a shower the water runs off to the room. I attempted to ask for soap since there wasn’t any but the phone didn’t work. I used my cell and called the main number but they never came. I did let them know at check out and he offered to waive the resort fee. I felt that was reasonable and didn’t push the issue. Overall I would stay there again unless I could find something comparable.

We arrived after a 6-hour flight from LA. New York was 98 degrees, so we were looking forward to checking into what we thought was an upscale hotel, only to find that our room's AC WAS NOT WORKING. We immediately went downstairs to alert the front desk and they said they would send the engineer to fix it. We had a wedding to attend, so had to get ready and leave. On our way out we made sure to mention it again and asked that they fix the AC while we were out. When we returned to the hotel at midnight, the room was STILL HOT. I went back down to the concierge and asked why the AC wasn't fixed and was told that they did everything they could do, and that if I had a complaint I should just call Orbitz to complain. I was speechless.I then demanded that they move us to another room as we were not going to sleep in a 95 degree room. The front desk said they couldn't move us to another room because we booked through a 3rd party. Again I was in shock that they were treating us like 2nd class citizens because we booked through Orbitz, and not directly through the hotel. After telling the front desk we weren't leaving the front desk until they moved us to another room, they finally did. The next day, when we asked to extend our stay by another night, we were literally told, "Sorry, we can't change your reservation because it was done through a 3rd party..."You'll have to call Orbitz." The treatment made us feel extremely unwelcome. We won't ever be back.

Hotel is clean and so convenient to everything! We were going on a cruise the next day at the manhattan cruise port, it was an 8 minute walk! So easy! Walked to Times Square. Tons of really cute places to eat, just a great location! Also the only place we could find with queen sized beds! Very comfortable. You are in New York so yes you do hear traffic and we were on the 8th floor but it’s not obnoxious. Never did hear the club across the street

Booked room given away/“oversold”.
When we arrived we were told that hotel was “oversold” and the room that we had already booked and paid for was not available. It took us nearly an hour to get a room. We were told that we wouldn’t be charged the resort fee and that we would receive a refund for the headaches, but we were charged the resort fee and have received no refund.

We originally booked this hotel for the rooftop. When we arrived they told us it was only open for people who rent it out for special occasions. I wish we knew this before we booked the hotel because we were really looking forward to it.
