Property was decorated amazingly & the people were lovely. Downside is a huge hotel with SIX elevators. At one point, only three were working. The wait to go up or down was ridiculous. We walked down TWENTY FLIGHTS of stairs MORE THAN ONCE with my 2 kids. To pay that amount for a hotel and have to walk down twenty flights of stairs twice is insanity. As much as we loved all the Christmas decor & touches, we will not be staying there again.

Visited at the beginning of December, the property, staff and decorations are first class. Very busy due to the time of year, to be expected but the lift situation is quite annoying. Only six lifts and at checkout time, 11am we waited 25 minutes to get to the lobby. I mentioned to get in a lift but my husband and daughter walked down 21floors to the lobby. I suppose that’s the difference with an older hotel, just be prepared during holidays and plan you departure accordingly. Would definitely stay here again

We had a wonderful time, the staff was very attentive, I was disappointed when we asked for the house car to take us to a special dinner (Tavern on the Green) and they said it was slightly out of their range.

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at this property. It was our first time staying at the property. We really enjoyed our visit at the property as it was beautifully decorated. It's such a historic property and it worth the visit.

Palace’s Tower is a 3/5. This isn’t a luxury hotel. The room was tired, and bathroom was just plain bad (gross shower curtains, peeling ceilings and faucet didn’t work). Staff tries hard, but the hotel doesn’t give them a lot to work with. Also, a bunch of drunk people ran up and down the halls throwing potato chips everywhere at 2am. While that was annoying, that’s not the Palace’s fault. What is their fault is that the chips were still all picked up at 7am. So when you compared the high price at the Palace with what you could get at real luxury hotels in NYC (Carlyle, Four Seasons, etc), the Palace’s Tower just doesn’t make sense.
