The Omni was a great hotel for the short weekend stay we booked. We chose it for its proximity to a venue for a wedding. In short, while it was a clean lobby and room, it was outdated from the carpeting to the fixtures. The elevators seemed original as well, but you could hear every gear moving and creak. The service was wonderful and when we asked for extra pillows, towels, etc. we got them immediately. We wish for a little more updated look and aesthetic. For a little bit of a nostalgia feel, there was a telephone in the bathroom.

OB made this stay my best stay in NY so far. Staff is nice and professional. Most importantly and what never really happens is that the duvet cover is sewn on top and sides - this is a “detail” every hotel in US should follow. Duvet was light => no sweating, pillows very comfortable. Thank you OB for these “details”!

Be aware of extra fees
Overall, we had an amazing stay at the Omni Berkshire. The only reason we didn’t leave a 5 star review was because when we checked out, we received a bill of $81 in extra service fees. To be fair, we booked on Hotels.com and the rooms were roughy $400 a night. We had already paid $200 in service fees when we booked initially. Doesn’t another $81 seem a bit excessive? Other than that, great hotel in a great location.

Excellent location, good casual bar and restaurant, good service. Nice pantry. Spacious bathroom. My only complaint is that the rooms do not have storage for clothes like no shelves nor drawers.

Staff was super helpful. Lenny the door man was a delight. It was difficult to get to the day we arrived due to a parade but we called and he explained how to get around it and there safely. Greeted with smiles and good people after a long day! When we arrived back to hotel that evening from a show, we asked for a cup of hot tea and a man brought us two and said to enjoy our sleep. Its the small stuff that makes ones heart warm.
