CAUTION !! the information does not correspond
The photos shown on the website when booking do not correspond to reality. The service is bad and very slow; Most of the staff seem upset while working. And the place in general is very dirty, the hallways, elevators and bathrooms smell very bad. The ventilation system is so defective that the fire alarm was activated and we had to evacuate the place and the firefighters arrived. Finally, the work on the side closes street access and generates noise 24 hours a day. I was not warned about this when booking and construction was already in progress. We had to carry suitcases a few blocks to be able to access and exit through this blockade. This experience is unfortunate for me and my family; I wish, I consider fair, financial compensation from Sonder. I have photos and videos of everything I describe here; I await your response on this matter to decide how to proceed in this regard.

The room was as expected for NYC. Smell wasn’t the best, maybe try a bleach or fresher scent cleaner. I could visually tell the room was clean but the smell was stale. I sprayed my own freshener and problem solved. No biggie for me, I would stay again. Staff was great (Sonder and Hotel side).

Great location by the seaport and so well connected to different subway lines. There are lots of food shops and restaurants nearby which was really handy and the kitchen in the apartment had everything we needed. The apartment was a bit “old” and tired with peeling cupboards and marks on the walls. The staff were polite but not particularly engaged. When we checked in they didn’t even say the usual “have a good stay” they just told us to look at our email for instructions on how to access the room. Aside from that they ignored us. Be aware it is VERY noisy and the earplugs are useless. The traffic noise is constant but there is also construction going on all round the apartment block so there is noise from that too. Most of the time this is blocked out by the incredibly noisy air con in the apartment. A definite overload of sound!

The apartment was huge and well equiped. A washing machine and dryer would have been the icing on the cake. Would recommend for longer stays. Close to the subway which was clean, safe and cheap. Walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge and the Staten Island ferry etc

Great location and large apartment
We had 4 in a unit on the 14th floor - great size space and was a blessing to have 2 baths. There is construction next door right now, so the mornings can be a little noisy, but it never bothered us too much as we were out the door exploring the city pretty early every day. Roof deck is awesome - We'd go up and have coffee most mornings. Central to so much there, and plenty of subway stops within a few blocks, so pretty easy to get anywhere.

The room had multiple lights with dead bulbs. The table legs were broken. I had to move a lamp near the table just to be able to see. The bathroom cabinet would not close completely. The lavatory cabinet was chipped with a lot of water damage. The bathroom sink drained very slowly. On the plus side, the kitchen was sufficient and the AC (PTAC) worked - even if it was loud.
