Detached Home-styled cottage on Nevis with spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea

SeaGrape Heights Cottages are perched on hillside that provides one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean you'll find on Nevis. You'll be able to see nearby islands such as St.Kitts and Antigua, cruise ships at night and local fishing and touring sailboats. The cottages are within walking distance of the seashore which is good for swimming on sandy beaches or snorkeling in nearby reefs. The two bedroom has Caribbean styled high ceiling, over 600 of living space, a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a second bedroom with two single beds and one bathroom. Nearby, there is a one bedroom, 500 sq. ft. cottage with a king-size bed and one bathroom. It is available for extra guests or may be rented alone to guests with a party of one or two. Both cottages have similar designs with wrap around porch overlooking the ocean where guests can relax and enjoy the ocean breeze and ocean view.

Both cottages have ceiling fans in each room plus a split unit wall air conditioner in each bedroom. Because of the constant breeze off the ocean guests will seldom have a need for fans and less so for AC. Other amenities include a refrigerator with freezer, full-size electronic ignition gas stove with oven, microwave, kitchen counter with double sink, toaster, drip coffee maker, cooking and eating utensils, iron and ironing board, dining table and chairs, comfortable setee and chairs that could be used for relaxing inside or outside on the porch. Free WiFi is also available plus a smart TV with access to streaming Netflix movies and other shows. A washing machine and two-burner propane grill are also available to guests is.

The land at the back of the cottages is open and is accessible to guests who wish to hike higher up the hillside to get a better view of the ocean and a view of Mount Nevis.

Peaceful Island Getaway
Austin was incredibly helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay run as smoothly as possible. He helped us out with information and bookings of road and water taxis before and after our stay, useful local advice, picked us up from Oualie dock and gave a quick tour of the surrounding area when we arrived. Both cottages are a lovely Caribbean style with fantastic views, would definitely recommend for a peaceful island getaway.

Best host ever, with amazing view!
A very clean cozy villa with everything we needed for a weeks visit. Also very comfortable beds and the best pillows in the Caribbean. The view from the front porch was breathtaking. Austin took care of everything, even things we didn’t know we needed! Thank you Austin

A Good Month in Nevis
We stayed in the two-bedroom cottage for a month from mid January. The cottage is well equipped and a wonderful place to spend a vacation. It has a marvelous setting high on the hillside up a steep driveway. The cottage furnishings and the kitchen layout and accessories provide everything needed for comfortable self-catering. Austin is a great host, proud of his cottage, making sure we were OK and responding quickly to our few requests. He met us at the water taxi terminal, took us to the cottage and then to the nearest supermarket so we had the necessary supplies for the first few days. The cottage is very clean and we were provided with weekly cleaning along with replacement of linens and towels. We rented a scooter for the entire month of our visit and were able to leave it in a convenient spot at the bottom of the driveway. We had a wonderful time getting all round the island and enjoying the historic and natural sights.

Austin’s two cottages are wonderful. If you like an ocean vista, this is it. Comfortable and cozy. All the amenities you could ask for. And, if you’re missing anything, or need guidance, Austin is a true care-giver.

Beautiful!
Our few days at the Seagrape cottage were a perfect follow-up to a fun week we spent with friends at a resort in St. Kitts. The view from the cottage and the feel of tropical breezes were beautiful and relaxing. Each morning, we were awakened to the sounds of roosters and goats that put smiles on our faces. We enjoyed the Botanical Gardens and exploring other sites around the island. We ate delicious food at simple restaurants on the beach and at The Rocks and Gin Trip (try the Monkey Slap cocktail). The people we met in Nevis were incredibly warm and friendly. Other reviewers have mentioned that Austin was the key to a totally worry-free vacation, and we agree. Our new friend arranged transportation to and from Nevis, had a rental car (a necessity) waiting for us, showed us some of the island, provided a notebook of information and brochures, and called to see if we had questions or unmet needs. The cottage was cozy and clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and Austin provided beach chairs, towels, and cooler for our trips to the beach. We had planned to snorkel but did not bring fins (which are a must due to the currents and rocky sea bottom). We definitely would recommend Seagrape to anyone seeking a relaxed, genuine Caribbean experience.

Lovely cottage
Austin went above and beyond to help accommodate us in Nevis. He helped book our taxi, water transfer, and even drove us to the cottage. Austin bought us some groceries for arrival and had some local beers for us as well. He loves this island and made sure we felt comfortable. Austin drove us around and showed us some great spots before dropping us off with the rental car. He even has beach chairs and towels available. The cottages are on the top of a steep hill and the view was amazing! The home was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Even with a late flight and changed plans, Austin made this vacation seamless. I would definitely stay at Sea Grape Cottages during our next trip to Nevis.

I would give a bonus star if I could. This property and host exceeded my expectations in every way!
The perfect Carribean experience! Austin and his wife Dawn were delightful hosts. The cottage was clean and welcoming when we arrived. Austin was extreamly helpful from the big things, like picking us up at the ferry dock and arranging a rental car to be at the cottage when we arrived, to the smaller things like having a few local beers waiting in the fridge for us, and arranging a guide for the Nevis Peak hike (ask him for Michael, lovely cheerful young man). He was also great to communicate with and provided much local knowledge. My mother in-law, wife, baby, and I stayed in the two bedroom cottage. The cottages are extremely well thought out and beautifully built. The heigh ceilings make them feel much lager than they are, the furniture and beds are very comfatable and suit the cottage well. The kitchen is small but practical, and we had no problem cooking our meals in it. The rap around porches are great for taking in the amazing views of the reefs, Atlantic, and st. Kitts. The driveway is steep, but short and well paved. The cottages are set up on a hill on the windward side of the island which provides a Great breeze and view! We were here a week and never turned the A/C on once, nor did we have any issue with mosquitoes. The village they are located above is quiet and peacful. I felt very safe here during our stay. The location is great in that its only a short drive to the best beaches, a gas station, and many great restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the Gin Trap. There is a greocery store only about a 10min drive in gingerland as well. I would recommend this place for anyone that enjoys exploring on there own, as a rental car is highly recomended. If you prefer to be catered to and rather take a taxi everywhere this probably isn't the best fit for you. Personally I can not imagine anywhere I'd rather stay, and I can't wait to come back to Seagrapeheights Cottages.

Excellent stay!
This is a beautiful pair of cottages. My two sisters and I rented both and each had a room to ourselves. The views are magnificent and justify the steep ride up the drive. And, if you want to have privacy and quiet, this is just the place for you. The cottages are well appointed and clean; we enjoyed using the kitchens and cooking for ourselves. The landlord, Austin, went out of his way to welcome us and assist our comfort: he arranged the taxi and water taxi from the airport on St Kitts and also made sure that a rental car was waiting for us at the house. Austin also met us at the pier and ferried us to and from a nearby restaurant on the first night. He, like every other Nevisian that we met on this trip, was friendly and generous -- Nevis is the closest that we have come to paradise! We enjoyed exploring the island and swimming on various beaches. We also recommend the Botanical Gardens and its restaurant. I would love to come back someday and would certainly choose Austin's cottages again!

Vacation Stay at SeaGrape Heights Cottage
We had a great vacation on Nevis and really enjoyed our stay at SeaGrape Heights Cottage. The owner of the cottage(s) Austin was extremely responsive to any questions we had and very helpful in coordinating our seamless transportation from St. Kitts to Nevis and securing a rental jeep for us. As this was our first visit to Nevis his assisatnce with the transportation portion was us really appreciated. We felt right at home at the beautiful cottage which had all the ammenities we required for a "beach" vacation. The cottage is well appointed, very clean, maintained in an excellent condition and solid with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. The cottage has continuous brezzes which make for literally a "bug free" zone, as they can't navigate in the wind which is really importatnt in the Carribean. Austin showed us around part of the island on the way from the ferry dock to the cottage and even introduced us to some of his friends at local restaurants that he recommended. He provided us with a map of the island and pointed out how to get to town for groceries, beach locations, how to get to the "hot mineral" baths, etc. He also had a print out of various activities that were on-going that week on Nevis and recommended activities he thought we would enjoy. We would highly reccommend SeaGrape Heights Cottages as your accomodations if you were considering visiting Nevis.

Absolutely stunning view from the cottage. Austin is just a wonderful host. Cottage is comfortable .
Great view from the cottage. Austin, owner of the property, was very helpful in suggesting places to visit and answering any questions we had during our visit. Cottage was very clean and well maintained- pictures on the site do not do full justice. Nevis is a great place for vacation and beaches are just heavenly - I have not seen anything like this in my life. Both beautiful mountains and beaches at one place. We will definitely be back and will look forward to staying at the same property.

Stunning Ocean Views in Comfortable Cottage, Attentive and Kind Owner
I just returned to the United States after staying one week at SeaGrape Heights Cottage in Nevis with my two young adult children, and the visit was fantastic. The cottage itself is an airy, bright and well-equipped home sitting on top of a high hill, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is close enough to the ocean that you can hear the waves. In the morning, it was such a peaceful experience to sit on the porch and watch the sun rise, listening to the sounds of nature. In the evening, we were fortunate to sit in the front yard on cushioned lounge chairs, feeling the ocean breeze and watching the stars, which were bright and clear. The stay was made such a good experience largely because Mr. Wallace and his property manager, Artavia Liburd were extremely attentive, responsive and gracious. This was an adventure for us. We have rented homes within the United States via VBRO and Home Away, and never before have we had such support. Mr. Wallace and Ms. Liburd regularly communicated with me both before and during the trip. They offered information about car rental, ferry transportation and local events. Without my asking, Mr. Wallace thought of things I wouldn't have thought of, including best ways to travel to and from St. Kitts. A few times, when we needed items, he arranged delivery to our door within an hour or two! And, he coordinated assistance when we had trouble with the vehicle we rented, without me asking! When we needed to exchange vehicles, Ms. LIburd, who also manages Strickers Auto Rental actually brought it to us on the beach! SeaGrapes Heights Cottage provided us with a safe, comfortable (the bed was more comfortable than my own) base to explore the island, which is stunningly beautiful. We visited the islands's beaches, rain forest, mountain and botanic garden. All of this was made easy by making use of a cooler and beach chairs that were made available to us by Mr. Wallace. We saw wild monkeys climbing the trees and goats and donkeys freely wandering about. While snorkeling, we saw sea turtles, crabs, squid, sea urchins and beautiful fish. Along the way, we met many friendly people.

Amazing Gem
We have been fortunate to travel throughout the Caribbean Islands over the past 20 years and the our recent stay in Nevis at the Cottage provided us with the perfect setting and accommodation. Breath taking views from the front porch or while laying in the raised king bed as the morning sun rose will be forever a part of our memories. A short walk to the beach rewarded us with a private beach with excellent snorkeling and most surprising some wonderful shells that washed up each day thru the cut in the reef. We love to cook local seafood and island vegetables and they were both readily available for the grill or frying pan. If your a hiker and want a climbing challenge hike up Nevis Mt. or Lord Horatio Nelson lookout is an easier hike with wonderful views. We are divers and both Nevis and St. Kitts provided some wonderful dives one of which included a group of 6 sea turtles that stayed in our reef area for 40 minutes. The Cottage is all you see on the web site and more!!!
