1940 Farmhouse on 20 Acres with Pool and Hot Tub Near Folsom Lake

Come relax in a 1940 remodeled farmhouse nestled among rolling hills, grazing deer, wild turkeys, and the peaceful sound of a year round creek. Perfect for a family getaway or for guests of one of the nearby wedding venues.

The house has three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. The main bedroom has a king sized bed. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed. The third bedroom has two twin sized beds (a day bed with pull-out trundle). The living room has a sofa bed that can sleep two. All together, there are beds for 8 people. With an air mattress, the house can sleep 10 people. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances.

Take a refreshing plunge in the large pool (50 x 25), which is finished in mosaic tile in keeping with the period of the house. Or relax in the large hot tub (10 x 15) and gaze over the valley below or up at the stars at night. Please note there is an extra fee of $50 for each day the hot tub is heated. There is plenty of seating around the pool and a dining table. There is also an outdoor gas fire pit.

Great location with lots to do nearby. Folsom Lake is less than 5 minutes down the road, where you can hike to Avery's pond or do some water skiing or paddle boarding. Boat rentals are nearby. There are nearby horse stables, riding trails, wineries, golf courses, whitewater rafting on the American River, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and camping. Old town Auburn is less than 10 minutes away if you'd like to experience gold rush history along with fine dining, antique shops, and boutiques. Lake Tahoe and several ski resorts are an hour and a half away. San Francisco is only two hours away.

Please note that we don't allow any large events or weddings on our property at this time. There are great local wedding venues nearby though (Newcastle Gardens and The Flower Farm). We are happy to host wedding guests at our property.

Great location for a family trip
This is our second time staying at this property. The pool brought us back and it did not disappoint! Love the quiet location and the views from the pool. The value for the price is fantastic. The house definitely shows a little wear compared to last year but because the price is so reasonable we could overlook it. We do wish there were more options for shade and outdoor seating.

Wonderful and quiet getaway place!
We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. The house is very comfortable, clean, great kitchen, comfy beds, lovely views and a huge pool in beautiful setting. Very private, with easy check in and communication with owner. Great restaurants in Loomis and La Fornaretta in Newcastle is fabulous. Would love to stay here again!

Best Pool Ever
This was by far the prettiest place I've ever booked. The pool was so amazing, and the hot tub was perfect too. My grandkids thought it was the best ever. The house was clean, lots of dishes to choose from, and the hosts were super responsive to everything we asked. Definitely recommend and will be staying again.

A great place to stay with a splendid outdoor pool. A kettle to make tea for us Brits would have been nice, rather than using the only saucepan. But otherwise quiet a haven.

Beautiful retreat
We had a great time staying here. The house is well appointed with plenty of bedding, soft fluffy towels, lots of nice pool towels, the pots and pans and utensils we needed to prepare food and an abundance of plates, cups, bowls etc. in the kitchen. They also left enough toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and cleaning supplies so that nobody had to make an emergency Target run for counter top cleaner! (Thank you!) The views are beautiful from every side of the property. The large salt water pool was clean and we had a lot of fun swimming, floating around on pool toys, and doing canon balls! Communicating with Seth was easy and all the info we needed was in the (mercifully short) binder when we arrived. We appreciate not having a weird list of things to take care of before checking out! Our whole family had a lovely time & we'd love to stay here again!

Highly recommend for comfort, fun, & relaxation. Both the house and pool were sparkling clean. The view from every room was amazing - hills, trees, wildlife. Plenty of living essentials - bath towels, pool towels, dishes, appliances (mixer, ice maker, kuerig coffee maker with coffee pods supplied & also a cartridge pod for loose coffee grounds if you bring your own coffee). The pool is gorgeous! Crystal clear and HUGE. Large square pool steps made an excellent play area for the little ones. Very large shallow end and also large deep end. Pool chairs & towels provided. The beds are super comfy and linens are very soft. The blow-up queen mattress came in handy for the kids watching movies at night. Plenty of hot water (back to back showers were fine)! The hot tub - OMG - the BEST. Big enough to swim in. Lots of seating around it, both inside and out. Well worth the $50/day to heat it. Two fire pits - one wood, one gas. Table and chairs with umbrella. Basically, you can comfortably spend all your time outside and enjoy every bit of it. And inside is SO comfy! Lots of room in the open concept living room/kitchen combo. Views from every room are amazing, but especially the living room. My husband worked from the kitchen table during our stay so he could admire the panoramic view all day. Seth, the host, was so easy to work with. He was very pleasant, helpful and responsive. The back of the host’s house faces the vacation rental we stayed in. I was concerned we may step on each other’s toes, but not at all!! Still a ton of privacy! I asked Seth if we needed to keep our noise down or anything, but he assured me we didn’t need to. He encouraged us to just play and enjoy as much as possible! Lots of nearby hiking trails as well. Highly recommend!

Great long weekend getaway.
The house was great. The pool and hot tub were awesome. The kids loved it, and we liked having quick access to downtown Auburn. Would definitely recommend staying here to family and friends.
