Bring the kids and enjoy this unique beach side setting, which provides you the freedom to do as little or as much as you like.

THE SPACE
Located in the beach side suburb of Newcastle, ‘Shipwreck Hideaway’ is in the perfect location whether you are a family, group, or couple getting away. With Stockton beach easily accessed across the road, you can enjoy the areas coastal walks, cycling, trendy cafes, family dining and some of the region’s most picturesque countryside. Add to that, you are only 45 minutes from award winning wineries in the Hunter Valley, you are sure to find something for everyone to enjoy.

This single-story property is fully furnished and has all the conveniences you need to enjoy your stay. This lovely old property comprises of three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, and views of the beach, you cannot help but unwind and relax in the space. The views from the front veranda are beautiful. Lie in bed and listen for the waves crashing across the sand.

- 3 BEDROOM HOUSE – (2 bedrooms with storage) Kitchen with eat in dining area, living room off kitchen, enclosed front porch, third bedroom with area for the kids to play. Outdoor area and full family bathroom with separate toilet.

As ‘Shipwreck Hideaway’ is in a residential area, we have a strict 'No parties or Events' policy and ask that all guests respect the neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum, particularly at night.

Guests have access to the full property except the rear garage. This is not for guests use or access.
There are a couple of locked cupboard inside the property which are not for guests use or to be accessed.

Other details to note
Limited amounts of essential items such as dishwashing liquid/tablets, laundry powder, toilet paper and the like have been provided. The kitchen contains basic items for guests (tea, coffee, sugar, cling wrap etc.) usually enough for a 2-night stay. Milk is not supplied as everyone's preferences are different. During your stay, these will not be replenished, so if you require more of these items you will have to purchase them.

**No pool/beach towels are supplied. You will need to bring your own.

I booked this not realising it was a bit of a drive out of Newcastle and back around again: but what a surprise. It was absolutely surreal. The sound of the waves just outside the house, the view of nobby’s lighthouse from a different angle, the lake looking back onto Newcastle…the town of Stockton itself…it’s a beautiful, charming town with so many heritage cottages. Listening to the locals greet each other made me feel so warm inside. The property is everything water lovers and fussy cooks need..with space to clean wetsuits, process fishing gear, and a modern kitchen with everything I needed. My son caught his first fish on the beach 100m away. It was so safe at night, and each of us could do what we wanted: walk out to the pier by moonlight, night fishing, Netflix bingeing…It was easy to relax in a very well maintained, sparkling clean and fully appointed space. I loved that my oldest son had his own room, and that my youngest kids had their own. Our sleep was so solid..missing the good it did already. Compared to the overpriced and cramped motel unit we stayed in the night before at Newcastle, this was much better value and worth the drive to get the far away escape feeling. Throughly recommend this stay. It was an excellent family break.
