When I found this property, I was excited that it had a video game machine that I used to play as a kid. I’ll save that for later.
Upon our arrival we met with the property owner who was very friendly. Entering into the apartment we noticed a strong scent of pets including urine. Since the owner lives on site I contacted her immediately. I told her I was extremely allergic to animals and the smell was intense. She said her dogs do go down into the apartment. We opened the 2 sets of French doors in an attempt to air it out, but it didn’t help. I contacted Vrbo to file a complaint but that went nowhere. That evening, I had to run to Walmart to buy Pet Deodorizer to try to douse the smell. Of course, having the doors open (which had no privacy curtains) let in all the bugs which were landing on my face all night. The next day when we returned I noticed plug-in air fresheners. That did help a bit, but not with my allergies. I was popping medicine like candy and had to limit my time in the apartment to just sleeping and showering. Most of our time was spent outside around the fire pit or out galavanting. Vrbo was supposed to relocate me, but that never happened. It was 3 nights, so we dealt with it. As for the video game, it’s just for show. There’s no plug. I did take photos of everything I mentioned here, including a large stain on the carpet which looks like pet damage.
Positives were the nice property owner and the fire pit. Negatives was paying $500 to suffer because Vrbo was useless in helping me.
