Perfect for a couple’s getaway
This is our second time staying at this hotel and we had a blast. This is the best location in Newport ! It is only a half block away from “the Vanderbilt”, great restaurants, coffee shops and walking distance from the mansions. We walked to the breakers since it was an overly day. This is a charming quaint home owned and ran by locals. The rooms are clean, quiet, there is coffee and tea available throughout. We had breakfast on our previous stay and it was delicious. Best location, super charming home, perfect for a couple’s getaway in Newport ! Will definitely be back

This was great! Def not a regular hotel experience if that’s what you’re looking for. This is a super old home that is charming. Very close to the town walkable to all.

The decor of our room was cozy. Nice bathroom with jetted tub. Our room was very warm, even with the thermometer to it's lowest setting. Pillows were flat. Breakfast was good.

The Cleveland House and innkeepers did not disappoint. One of the best B&Bs, I have stayed at in the US and abroad (Ireland, England, etc). Personable, welcoming, accommodating and your breakfast is made to order fresh every morning. Rooms, beds and bath are comfortable, clean and spacious with history and character. Everything is within walking distance - restaurants, shopping, sight seeing, sailing, history, etc…We will return again and again.

Great stay!
In Newport for 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed this 1700’s B/B. The room was comfy and clean. The location is perfect for exploring town, the pier or catching a trolley!

Manager is very overbearing and nosy. Kept trying to convince my daughter we needed an upgrade on the room. Also had called earlier telling me that we shouldn’t stop for lunch in CT. Honestly let us enjoy our own experience and leave us be. We just wanted to rent a room. Room smelt moldy and wasn’t that clean.
