Beautiful Views
I stayed at this home in order to attend my sister’s wedding. The views were unbeatable. The fall sunrises were breathtaking. The house had all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking pans, plates, utensils, etc. The cleanliness of the house was adequate but not exactly impressive for this neat freak. The most important spaces (bed/linens, shower, toilet, stove, fridge) were very clean though. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

NC bay
Loved the property and location. There was a problem with roaches/water bugs. We killed quite a few and also found a few dead ones. While living areas were clean, ceiling fans looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Dust was pretty thick on the fan blades.

Visiting Grandbaby
The location is good and the view is exquisite!! The water view is worth the visit. Host communication is fantastic and timely. The idea of a log cabin by the bay is spot on accurate. For the price, it is worth the outlay. A few things to remember, if you like very firm mattresses, this is the place for you. If you like very flat pillows this is the place for you. Plenty of toilet paper and bath towels. The charcoal grill is handy and convenient. Would have liked the property to not be so dusty but it is a log cabin, That appears to be in need of a thorough deep clean. We enjoyed our stay and believe this property to be a true value.

Great location
We loved this property. So much fun was had fishing and crabbing. Caught several fish and a crab or two. There was Fishing gear available as well as beach chairs. The beds were highly.comfortable. The Cabin was well stocked, but the frying pans could definitely use an upgrade. The bathrooms were also well stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The driveway had quite a few potholes; It is not paved.. All the TV streaming services were available with sign on. The cabin is wide open from bottom to top. Sometimes it was a little warm, but we managed very well with fans. We are already planning to come back next year. We would highly recommend this property to families and or friends.

Nice getaway
This house was a nice place for my husband, kids, and I. The dock was fun to fish off of even though we didn't catch anything. We were there for the beginning of the TS Debby but we had no issues. It is about 20 min from town so make sure you bring food with you if you don't want to have to go back out the day of arrival. When you go into town there are many things to do. We went to the beach and then kayaking 1 day and the other day was raining so we went to the aquarium. My only complaints are the beds are hard (not just firm) and I wish the bathrooms were not carpeted. As a mom of boys, I have an idea about what is on the carpet around the toilets. Other things to note... the bedroom doors are french doors in the rooms upstairs and the master has accordion doors on 1 entrance and french doors with blackout curtains on the other entrance. This was not a problem for us but I want to let others know before they get there.

Nice space on water within 15 min to beaches and quaint towns
Great location. Nice little dock to walk out on the water and fish off of. Being on the water is definitely the draw here. Down side is that it was not as clean as it should have been and communication after was not easy being that a property mgmt company is used to manage the location. But we would stay here again due to the location on the water.

We LOVED this property. It is everything I love- on the water-peaceful and quiet, and a log cabin! The home was adorable, the kids loved the tree house and said it has been their favorite Rental ever! We appreciated all the amenities in the home- there were spices, oil, toiletries, etc. the beds are firm, so just know that going in. We would definitely stay here again!!

Nice Escape
It's easy to relax and forget the worlds' problems here. Rustic home with water views.. watch the herons, ducks, and fish from the dock or house. Host & hostess stocked the home with everything you could need. Short drive to the barrier island for sightseeing or beach going.

The house was just as the photos show - spacious, clean, and peaceful. The view was even more beautiful in person. The hosts are very responsive if you need anything. We highly recommend! The only downside is needing to drive to get to the ocean, but we knew that going into it.

Beautiful view
We enjoyed our stay, however, we saw quite a few roach bugs, and the grass was knee-high. It would’ve been helpful for us and our dogs walking through the yard without the grass, itching our legs. The porch was also very sticky from possible previous owners. We loved the property and cabin!!

Beautiful View, but Needs Work
The views are the most redeemable aspect of the property. Sitting on the dock at night with my husband was heaven. A few things: if you have young kids, this property requires strict supervision while in the backyard. You can tell a property owner or management company has not visited in a while. There was a rusted/burned through fire pit in the back yard that needed to have been taken to the dump a long time ago. A huge rusty anchor was sticking out at the beginning of the 4ft dock. Yes, the dock was only 4ft and no guard rails. We tried to take the kids on the dock a few times, but it was so narrow that we didn't attempt often. There was a rusty brush left out on the back deck that my daughter immediately picked up and I had to rush out of her hands. For reference, my kids are 3.5 and 1.5. Also, in the backyard there were remnants of what looked to be a pre-existing house/structure? So, there were old pipes and things just sticking out of the ground. The tree house would have been perfect for older kids, but again ours were a bit too little to safely be up there. The grass had not been cut in a long time, so the blades would hit the kids in the face as they tried to run. The view in the backyard is what sold us on the property, but sadly we couldn't spend too much time there with the kids due to, for lack of a better word, neglect. The interior of the house was clean and spacious, the bathrooms are entirely carpeted and needed to be replaced 20 years ago.

Great Views
The house was very nice. Our son loved the treehouse and we were also able to catch tons of fiddler crabs on the shore for bait. The only problem I had which was not really a big deal was that the dock was unuseable for my boat. I ended up just renting a slip at Seagate so it ended up working out fine and we had a great stay.

Very nice well kept property.
Well kept and quiet. Great location for fishing and cast netting for bait such as blue crab, shrimp and mullet. No access for kayaks but 15 minutes away from sea-gate marina with nice launch area but $20 fee. Property deck was 4 feet above water at high tide. Overall experience was outstanding, caught many red drum, speckled trout and rays. Would recommend for a quiet get away.

Great family vacation spot!
First few minutes of our stay were a bit rocky but it was all uphill from there! Upon arrival there was a terrible smell around the back porch (couldn’t even stand to be outside) once the source was located (old bait left in a trash can) and relocated to side of house we felt like our vacation could really begin! The house and yard was perfect for our family of 4 plus our pets! We were delighted to find crabs in the pot at the end of the dock already and enjoyed catching shrimp with the nets provided, fishing and playing the in tree fort overlooking the water! The kitchen was fully stocked with coffee and all the cooking dishes utensils we needed! The kids enjoyed the games, wifi and smart tv upstairs in the loft and since we all forgot our shower supplies it was great to find those were provided as well! The wood burning fireplace was a hit on the day it cooled off and rained! The house was off the beaten path but still an easy ride to town and the beach! Our family fell in love with this place and will definitely be staying for our next beach trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was just as advertised. It sits on the water with great scenic views, especially during the sunrise. Has a nice pier if you like to fish or crab. About 35 minutes from Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle. Very easy decision to just stay at the cabin if you want to take it easy. Also has a nice kitchen.
