Oceanfront serenity awaits the two of you at Ocean Wind Retreat, a very romantic getaway spot. Dog friendly, view of the light house from the bedroom with a queen size bed and TV. Free WIFI. There is a full bath with a tub/shower combination. The front room has a kitchenette: fridge, coffee maker, micro-wave, toaster, electric wok (there is no oven or range) and utensils. A gas Cuisinart BBQ is available for private use by the deck on the ocean side of the front yard.

The front room has a Captains Bed perched high to optimize comfort and the scenery outdoors. Step outside to a spacious oceanfront deck and yard, or seek out the path overlooking the beach with love seat and complete privacy. A large indoor soaking tub for two, beautifully tiled, with ocean views and an indoor sauna add to the rest and relaxation of this wonderful retreat! The bedroom: queen bed, open closet, dresser, TV and "fire" light for ambience, has a view of the light house. Host provides flowers and gift basket free of charge.

A favorite vacation, birthday and honeymoon spot. Located at the South end of Nye Beach in Newport, OR, just next door to Georgie's Beach side grill for scrumptious dining. Enjoy the Newport Performing Arts Center, many area restaurants, art galleries, wine tasting and several music venues. Less than 3 minutes to the Newport Bayfront, Hatfield Marine Science Center or the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Walking distance to two parks.

This apartment is on the ground floor, with a permanent residence above where the host/owner is available if needed. Very pleasant visit
The house was immaculate. Jeannie is a very good hostess supplying us with treats, cheese and wine. She even bought a toy for our dogs. Although our visits with her personally were limited, I found her very charming. I would like to stay with her on our next visit to Newport.

As advertised, the kitchen is brief but creative cooks can do a lot with what's provided, including the grill (which is a must for us). Jeannie was always available to answer our questions but respected our privacy.

Beautiful Ocean View!
This was a beautiful place to stay for a week. It is an apartment on the bottom floor, which it clearly states, so there is some floor noise, so if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs. Host was so nice, and the view was incredible! Very comfortable. So much nicer than a hotel, glad we stayed there! This place is now on our favorites!

Ocean Wind Retreat would be great just on the basis of its location and its fantastic views of the waves rolling in, but Jeannie's little touches elevated our stay, from the art on the walls to the welcome basket and the clear communication about checking. We're hoping to stay here again next year.

Newport Spa Retreat
My wife and I stated at Ocean Wind Retreat for a week and absolutely loved it. The sauna and soaking tub make it feel like your own personal spa. We were so comfortable that several days we just hung out, read, and relaxed. The private bench with ocean and beach views was also a unique aspect of the Retreat, perfect for reading, and holding hands while watching the sunset. Every element of the interior design obviously received tons of thought, and the Jeannie has spent every effort to ensure the total comfort of her guests. We will definitely be coming back!!

Romantic and relaxing
Our host Jeannie was an exceptional owner and a very kind person. Truly a people's person. One is greeted with soft music, dim lights and a basket with goodies and wine. She has an adorable dog too. The apartment was extremely clean, cozy, and beautiful. It was a true romantic and relaxing getaway for both of us especially since we had a view of the Pacific Ocean from anywhere in the apartment and outside in your private bench. We slept so good with the sound of the waves. The next door stairs to the beach is a plus. It's so relaxing to take walks on the beach. Luckily, the sun was out all the 5 days we spent there. We will come back next summer for sure!!

A wonderful place
Ocean Wind Retreat, was that and more. The apartment was very clean and beautiful throughout. You could see the love and planning that went into the space, inside and out. Jeannie was a dream to work with. She made us feel welcome and never intruded upon. It was so nice to stay at a place where you could feel the love and the care put into it. Our host Jeannie went above and beyond to make our stay phenomenal. Place is on Nye Beach. We used this property as our main base for exploring the Oregon Coast. The Perfect Oceanside Honeymoon
Upon arriving at this wonderful retreat we were greeted by the Incredibly kind host. She had a gift basket waiting for us and our fur baby. The home is in a wonderful location and it puts the treat in Retreat. Be sure to check out her art cards as well because she is a fantastic artist. I was able to do very beautiful thank you notes as gifts after my wedding. I will likely visit again!
