The Space:
This lovely well maintained Ranch Style 3 bedroom home with 2 full baths is ready to welcome a family, military personnel who are in between transitions. The house is located in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood.

Please Read - Landscaping is schedule for Monday - Wednesday in Newport News. If you are booked for this property you acknowledge our landscaper will enter the backyard to cut the grass. Trash is scheduled to be picked up 3 days a week, you also acknowledge that our private trash provider will be on site bringing cans out and back in.

The Neighborhood:
Nestled between Hampton and historic Williamsburg, Greenwood is a commuter's dream only minutes from the major Highway 64. Newport News is home to Joint Base Langley-Eustis, a facility that caters to all military branches. There is plenty of entertainment to choose from in Greenwood and its surrounding neighborhoods. Renters can easily take a day trip to Virginia Beach less than 50 miles away or head to the popular amusement park, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, only seven miles north, for a day of adventure.
There are various outdoor amenities like Newport News Park, a popular hangout for boating and other activities Head south to Huntington Beach, a 60-acre park with tennis courts and a fishing pier. Be sure to stay for sunset to enjoy the scenic views of the James River. For history lovers, enjoy a day at the Mariners’ Museum and Park, where you will learn all about maritime history.

We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking:
1) Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.
* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period. ...
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

*Coffee grounds
Fireworks are illegal in Virginia. If you are found to be engaged in setting off fireworks we are required by the city to immediately terminate your stay. Also If you are found responsible for having started a wildfire or dune fire with fireworks, you may be liable for all suppression and reclamation costs or even face imprisonment and fines.
3) This home is pet friendly only by request, and must be appoved in writing. The Pet fee is $75 per pet, per week.
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.
