The Rivers Edge is a luxury listing located in the Peaks Subdivision. This property is a favorite for all seasons. A riverside mountain ski home offering five bedrooms and three levels of living space. Enjoy cozying up to the gas fireplace in the living area or a soak in the hot tub after a long day on the slopes, hiking or golf. Enjoy beautiful views of the river and mountains from the firepit while roasting marshmallows or enjoying a night cap. In the great room, cathedral ceilings provide expansive windows to appreciate the great mountain and river views as well. Just minutes to Sunday River ski and golf resort, hiking and walking trails for all levels, fishing, biking, river floats and more. Wake up to the sounds of the river and views of the mountain from the master suite. On the top level there are two additional bedrooms, one queen and one queen over queen bunk. In the lower level you will find the game room with shuffle board, foos ball and poker table. The lower level is also home to an additional king bedroom as well as the bunk room featuring XL bunks to accommodate adults comfortably. Guests will be staying in a subdivision with paved roads and a paved driveway leading into the 2 car garage at this great rental - no cleaning the car off in the morning before hitting the slopes! Now features an on-demand generator so you never lose power. The damage waiver fee of $150.00 is a non-refundable payment- which covers accidental damage up to the amount of $1500.00. This fee is pressed in the overall costs of the rental at the time of booking. Remember we are in the mountains of Maine and the snow we hope for all year can make travel more difficult. We recommend all or 4 wheel drive in the winter season. The roads and driveway are professionally maintained but guests may find travel difficult without it.

Gorgeous home and wonderful experience.
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Everything was beyond expectation from the amazing views of the mountain and river to the well stocked kitchen and spacious living areas. Extremely clean, and so nice to have all the necessities supplied like paper towels, dish machine soap, dish soap, liquid hand soap in every bathroom, shampoo,tissues, trash bags, plenty of towels and even beach towels for the amazing hot tub. My 4 year old grandson loved the game room and we spent hours of fun there. It was so nice that it was such a close drive to the mountain. It was so nice to have a level, flat driveway ( not a steep hill to go up) and garage to park the cars in. I highly recommend this amazing home and we will definitely return in the future!

This property stands out as one of the very best we’ve rented. A kitchen worthy of any foodie.. fully outfitted with everything you may want. The home was immaculate and the beds incredibly comfortable with garnet hill bedding. Beautiful views and so much more. Highly recommend.

Our stay was fantastic!! Communication with Julia, the property manager was fantastic! The house is so close to the Mountain and nearby restaurants. It has a great view of the mountain and river from the living room and back deck. This is also quite possibly the most well stocked vacation house we have ever stayed at!!! We would definitely stay again!!

This house was fantastic! We are two families (total 9 people) spanning three generations. Everyone had a ball. Nana, parents and teens/tweens. Lots of space to find your own nook or to find the social gathering. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was the best equipped kitchen for cooks that we have EVER seen in a rental. Property manager was amazing and so responsive. We’ll be back!!!

We have been renting houses in this area for several years now. I would say this is my favorite property! The house is absolutely beautiful and the location is excellent, right down the street from Sunday River! They have literally thought about everything in this house & the house is laid out so perfectly! There are drawers & closets so you can unpack when you get there, there are plenty of places for skis and snow gear in the entryway, you have access to the two car garage (so nice in the snow), heated floors in the entire house, great basement for guests who want a little bit of a private space, gas fireplace, hot tub, grill, every appliance you could possibly need, and a spectacular view! We had a great time!!!

We had a wonderful weekend trip! The house was equipped with everything you could need and very comfortable. The location on the river, hot tub, and games in the home were enjoyed by the kids and adults. Many restaurants were closed or overwhelmed since they were understaffed due to covid, so I would just plan to bring most of your food and enjoy the gorgeous home!

Great place for a relaxing weekend!
This property is beautiful!! Lots of neat swimming holes nearby. Anything that you could possibly need is at the home and everything was super clean! The only negative thing I can say is that there is no AC (which wouldn’t be a big deal except for the fact that it was 95 degrees the whole weekend we were there)!

I wish we could give this home 10 stars!! It was such a nice place to stay and with my young kids, they had a blast going down to the river and then hot tub. The only negative was that we originally booked the home for 4 nights, and then 3 weeks before the reservation the property manager contacted us to say the owner is coming back sooner and they Need to change the reservation to 3 nights or find us a new place. We ended up staying there for 3 nights, but still having a hard time trying to get the taxes and service fees back for the last night! We actually weren’t even refunded the last night rate until we asked. VRBO blames the Property manager and vice versa for what we are still due. Also no Extra compensation for the changes from 4 to 3 nights, and trying to find a place to stay for the additional night since we really wanted to stay at THIS home due to its location. Overall, property gets 5+ stars and I would still go back because it was a beautiful and fun place.

Simply the best!
We have been renting homes around Maine for 8 years. This was by far the easiest home to both rent from and to take care of. From the moment we walked in, this house was perfection. Our group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids) each found a spot to call our own. The spacious entry allowed for 3 families to unload cars at the same time, the kitchen layout allowed for easy movement and is easily the most well-equipped kitchen we have ever been in. The huge dining table allowed for family meals while the extra space outside gave adults a space to enjoy meals while taking in the spectacular views. I can't say enough about the lower level where the kids got to be kids with a space to call their own. The access to the Sunday River was amazing and offered deep swimming holes as well as places to wade across. We meandered up and down almost every day. We would have stayed another week if we could have! Thank you for sharing this beautiful space.

Beautiful home and view with some hiccups
We enjoyed our time together. House was beautiful and clean, View was beautiful. Spent time in the river and hot tub. Fridge did not work properly, hot and cold daily. We arrived on Friday and temporary fridge brought on Wednesday by property manager and grill caught on fire because it was not cleaned, smoke alarms were hanging off walls without batteries. :( Those are some big issues but we still managed to enjoy our stay, COVID free.

What a great experience we had spending a week at the list lovely place! The house is exactly as described, with everything you could need. Also enjoyed the area despite the fact that some places are not operating because of COVID. Awesome mountain biking (especially at Mt. Abram) for the adults and all of our kids (ages 4-13). We explored lots of other natural gems and only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for a great vacation!
