I was in Nice for two nights for a research trip, and stayed at Hotel Wilson. It was a lovely place, excellent value for money. The room was spotlessly clean and airy, with a few little touches of style that you don't necessarily expect in a rock-bottom cheapie... The rest of the guesthouse also came with a nice bit of style - artworks on the wall, plants in the hall. The managers were very friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent. I'll certainly stay here again if i return to Nice. Although it was not an issue for me at all, it's worth noting that the hotel is on the third floor, and there is no elevator, but if you can cope with carrying your bag up the stairs, then it's a brilliant place to stay.
