This Onsen Ryokan has various types of rooms, and we stayed in the Garden Wing, which is a separate building with very basic accommodations but at a very reasonable price. The Garden wing is also rather cumbersome to reach from the main lobby. The main building has the roten-buro outside bath, which was nice. Breakfast was also nice and service very friendly. The area is beautiful mountain scenery with a lake and a breathtaking waterfall 20min walk away. The village however only has accommodations but no stores or restaurants, and after dark it is dead. This is a great place for hiking, or if one has a car to escape the heat of lower lying areas. When Tokyo had 35deg Celsius, Okunikko had 19 in summer.

素晴らしいお湯でした
本館隣接の愛山荘に宿泊しました。部屋は歴史相応に古いですが家族4人には充分広く、掃除の行き届いた様子でくつろげました。本館の温泉は熱めで、芯から暖まることができ本当に素晴らしいものでした。チェックイン時間変更にも快く対応くださり助かりました。

とてもよかったです。
丸沼高原スキー場へスキーをする時に利用させていただきました。 中は奇麗にされており、部屋も広かったです。この周辺にはコンビニなど食料品を購入するところが全くないので注意が必要です。電子レンジがロビーに１台ありますが家庭用の500ｗクラスなので時間がかかるうえみんなが使うと混雑します。飲み物はジュース類の自販機とビールとチューハイが売っていました。価格は普通です。観光地価格ではないです。 お風呂はとてもよかったです。かなり熱いですが内風呂も外風呂も水を足して冷やせます。 Wi-Fiはロビーでしか使えません。 駐車場は舗装されていないので雪や雨の日は汚れますので気を付けてください。 水道の蛇口や見えるところの配管がかなり黒ずんでいますが、水質の影響で黒ずんでいると思います。 総合的にコストパフォーマンスが高くてとてもよかったです。また泊まりに行きたい宿です。

コロナ感染防止対策のために、部屋の布団やシーツは自分でとの事で、それは問題なかったのですが、新しいシーツなどが部屋に用意されていなく、前の人の使った状態の枕と布団カバーが既にかかったものが押し入れに入っていました。。。

ホテルズさんと連携が取れていないのか、朝食&ディナー付きで予約したにもかかわらず、いざ伺ったところディナーの予約をされていないとのことで夕食が食べられなかった。周りにも食事処は無く、大変困りました。

宿も温泉も食事も最高でした
安かったので当日予約。宿に着く前に路面凍結で気をつけてお越しくださいとあたたかいお電話を頂き、宿に着くと空き部屋があるとの事で予約した部屋よりも豪華な部屋にアップグレードしていただけました。 温泉は奥日光の硫黄泉でとてもいい匂いですが、かなり高温で熱いのが好きな方は入れると思いますが、私は湯船に浸かる前に水を入れないと入れませんでした。 本当にいい湯で湯上り後は体がポカポカして湯冷め知らず、翌日まで硫黄の香りが体に染み込んでいました。 朝食はなかなか豪華で味も量も満足のいくものでした。 また奥日光に行った際は利用させて頂きたいと思います。
