Alegria - Ocean View Villa

Alegría, translated from Spanish, means pure happiness and joy, which is exactly what guests will find waiting for them at this newly renovated spacious villa, whether you find it gazing at the ocean from the deck, swimming in the large pool, or putting your feet in the sand (a mere four-minute walk to the closest beach).



Alegría is located in Malmok, the most upscale and quiet residential area in Aruba, and just around the corner from two of the most beautiful beaches in Aruba, Arashi Beach and Boca Catalina. Alegría is only a slightly longer, leisurely 10-minute walk to the Catalina Cove Beach, which sports some of the best snorkeling in Aruba (the water is so clear you don’t even need to go under to see the fish swimming around you!). All of these beaches are much less crowded than any resort beach. Amazingly, you can walk to the beach quicker than it takes you to wait for an elevator in a high-rise hotel!



Alegría will provide you with beach towels, easy-carry beach chairs, Sun Ninja beach tents, and a cooler to keep your beverages of choice cold.



Back at Alegría, surrounded by large privacy walls, there is a large pool with a baja sun tanning area (which can be used as a baby pool). The pool has luxury lounge chairs and a large palm leave pergola. (No more waking up early on vacation to claim the good chairs and palapa!). Unlike other houses with just “soaker pools,” this large pool (17’ wide x 60’ long) is meant for swimming, playing, jumping into the 7-foot-deep end, floating on the stocked lounge rafts, and other floaties. When you are tired of tanning and swimming, you can enjoy a round of corn hole in the large backyard or sit back on the covered back patio to watch your favorite sporting event on mounted Smart HD TV. And no need to run through the house wet when the pool hosts its own outdoor bathroom with an outdoor shower.



The spacious roof deck offers stunning ocean views from three sides and overlooks the Tierra del Sol Golf Course. This clear view provides the unique opportunity to watch both the sunrise and sunset. Alegría provides mats for yoga on the roof deck in this serene setting. Even more impressive is star gazing from the deck at night with a good bottle of wine.



Inside, the recently completely renovated high-quality villa boasts all the modern amenities, including brand new appliances, and is perfect for larger families or friend groups. Alegría accommodates up to 10 adults and six children in six spacious bedrooms (five with king beds, and one with two bunk beds and a trundle; an additional folding cot with a 4-inch mattress is available for another child). Four bedrooms have direct outside access. All bedrooms provide a private ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower with plenty of hot water (two bathrooms have double sinks). If you want to bring more than your bathing suit, each room has a built-in closet as well as plenty of dresser space. Each of the five bedrooms is independently locks and contain a safe for your valuables. In addition to the 60-inch HD smart television in the large family room, a 50-inch HD smart television is mounted in each of the adult bedrooms. Each room also has an Echo dot, which can control lights and fans through a Lutron switch.



The kitchen’s large natural granite kitchen counter and table provide seating for 12 inside to accompany the additional seating for eight on the adjacent front deck and 12 more on the back patio to ensure that there is plenty of room for everyone to eat without feeling on top of each other. And should the kids (big or small) want to plug in their devices, each seat at the counter has its own outlet available. (Yes, we’ve thought of everything!) Alternatively, sitting at the dining table offers a postcard picture view of the California lighthouse standing in front of the golf course. If you don’t prefer to cook on the new gas a range and oven, enjoy throwing a fresh local caught fish on the Weber Gas grill just outside the kitchen on the back deck our let our team arrange a private chef to cook for you. The kitchen also offers ample storage space, a French door refrigerator, a large stand-alone ice maker, Ninja air fryer, Ninja blender, and of course, a large Cuisinart coffee maker.



Alegría is also fully equipped with fresh linens and towels. There is a convenient laundry closet with a separate full-sized washer and dryer. Alegría is completely airconditioned with new individual units for each guest to control your own temperature. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.



Moreover, Alegría provides its guests with the best resort-level features. Better and cheaper than resort food, the Arashi Beach Shack Bar and Restaurant is a mere four-minute walk. The Ritz- Carlton is a 20-minute beautiful ocean path walk (or three-minute drive). Past the Ritz-Carlton, you are in the heart of the Palm Beach high-rise hotels with shopping malls, restaurants, movie theaters, and casinos.

And grocery delivery services can be arranged (including before you arrive so that you have a stocked kitchen when you arrive).



The minimum booking is one week. Smoking inside and outside is strictly prohibited. Alegría has a very strict no-pet policy and no pet accommodations can be made due to severe allergies of the owners. Parties, social events, and gatherings are not allowed.



Utilities: Included in the price is fair usage of water and electricity. Over usage of utilities shall be at your discretion and at your expense. Upon arrival, a refundable security deposit is required of US$ 800.00.
