Room smelled like smoke even though it was nonsmoking. The hotel is deceiving and wasn’t what we expected. Breakfast was ok. I’d recommend staying somewhere else if possible.

Confusion over room request. We called about early check in. They told us that the earliest would be at 2:30. We got there at 2:30 and couldn’t get into our room until almost 4 pm. (3:50pm) We also called and was told there was a microwave in the room. There was not Room was still dirty. We cleaned out the stuff still left in fridge that housekeeping left behind. Older women at the desk was rude. A/C unit was noisy.

We reserved 3 rooms, one of the rooms was occupied when we walked in. They gave us a new room. None of the tv's worked, "free wifi" did not work. Rooms were not clean, peeling paint, floors coming up. Outdoor pool closed for unknown reasons. Not a good experience.

We didn't actually stay at the Green Granite Inn despite our friends staying there. We booked our room on April 29th for 8/3/24. We showed up at check in time and the very rude front desk woman told us she had no room for me despite my confirmation from Expedia. She offered me nothing other than that i should call Expedia. I asked why they didnt call me. She shrugged. "They didn't?". I asked why would i be there after a three hour ride if they called me and told me there was no room. The front desk woman was the antithesis of what you would expect in a front facing customer service type job. She offered me no help, no suggestions. Just her rude abhorrent behavior. Not even an apology. That was the kicker. How do you work a front desk in a hotel without the ability to be nice and apologize to a person who has stayed at your property at least three times previously.? Our friends stay too. Expedia finally fixed the problem after a full hour on the phone with them. I was hung up on twice but by my third phone call i found someone kind. It was very distressing. We lost dinner reservations because I had to spend over a full hour of my weekend away on the phone trying to find a place to stay. Avoid the Green Granite if you dont want to ruin your vacation or weekend away, especially if they dont tell you until you actually show up at the property. Don't expect them to figure that out until you are actually standing in front of them. Then they will be rude.

The property appears to be undergoing some much needed renovations in every area. Check in with the young lady who helped me was fine, very friendly and helpful. After visiting the fitness room I had to return to the check in desk because I had an issue with the connection to the wi-fi for the Peloton bike in there. I will say that I chose this property specifically because they have the Peloton bike. The young lady referred my question to the older (white hair lady at the desk) & sorry I don’t know names (no name tags). This older lady didn’t have the answer & much to her annoyance (which she made very apparent) basically marches down to the fitness center to see what she could do & basically said there was nothing she could do & walked off. It wasn’t a mechanical bike issue at all but the wi-fi service connection to the bike. I explained that I’ve had this issue at other hotels with the peloton connecting to wi-fi and if they call their internet provider & it was a very simple issue to resolve to get the bike connected. She told me “well that’s a Time Warner issue” and walked off. I apologized that I had to make her walk down the hall to the fitness center! Why by the way has great equipment but not clean at all, no water cooler, waste basket or equipment sanitizer. Breakfast was excellent though as well as the the s up per nice lady who was apparently in charge of that.

After reading all the bad reviews, I saw a few good ones and decided to take the chance. Photos on Expedia and on the website look absolutely nothing like what I booked. I was told that Expedia doesn’t update their photos, which is confusing because it seems like they did update the photos to what the more renovated rooms look like, yet gave us a dated, old, worn out room. I chose the 2 queen bed (larger) room and we got a basic 2 queen room, all of the furniture was very old and chipped / stained. Carped was stained and everything was dusty. Our balcony screen door was detached and on the floor of the deck. There was no extra toilet paper. Beds were decently comfy. When we first arrived I was very annoyed that this happened to us so I went and told the man at the front desk, he apologized said that Expedia doesn’t update the photos which isn’t true, they just catfish you. And that they were fully booked and there was nothing we could do… the place did not seem sold out it was very quiet, barely anyone at the pool every time we went, not many cars. On the plus side, the pools and outdoor amenities were great, loved both pools. Thankfully we were very busy doing other activities so we were mostly just in the room to sleep but with 2 small children if I had the option to change rooms or get refunded I would have but that didn’t seem to be an option. Please update your photos to what they really look like so when booking people know what they are getting.

Rooms definitely need upgrading. Bathroom only had working lights over the sink, it was like showering in the dark. Main room had 2 working lamps. 1 tiny wastebasket. When we asked for towels we were told 2 per person, never had that at other hotels. Breakfast was ok, could’ve been hotter but it was edible. Indoor pool & hot tub was clean. Good location. We were only there 2 nights.

It was quiet. The building is old and run down. Handicap accessibility was not an option. I was not aware when I booked. We were put on the second floor and there is no elevator. The clerk did nothing when I stated the second floor doesn’t work for handicapped. Fortunately, my husband is not in a wheelchair, he struggles with walking.

No functional phone or refrigerator.Was given a refrigerator next day which did not cool .It appears I was given a room which was getting renovated.Expedia sold a room which was filthy ,bad carpets .Terrible experience

A little disappointed but okay for a quick last minute overnight stay. Room was dark. Bulb out in big lamp, only one worked. Random lightswitch near door that didnt turn anything on. Breakfast was fine for what was expected. Staff could stand to have name tags or a uniform shirt. Heard other rooms were nicer etc. Will try 1 more time before our yearly ski trip

There was no AC in the dining room area/hallways are you smell? Is cigarette smell coming from the carpets especially as soon as you open your room door… Our toiletries was not accommodating for people when we had a reservation for four people. We only had one roll of toilet paper towels.. And our room was right by a hallway door that leads to outside, and that door would constantly slam open and shot open and shut.. We spent about $400 for two nights and we will never go there again.. You would even hear other people in the cafeteria during breakfast hours complaining about how stinky the place was.. We went to the pool at end of day around sunset and the pool was never skimmed. There were so many Japanese beetles and dead bugs floating on the surface.. Overall, the hotel was not clean whatsoever. You never saw any staff except for front desk and the maintenance guy who was trying to fix the ice machine because that was broken… The reason why we picked that hotel was because the images were very pretty on Expedia so that was very deceiving and also we wanted to try a different hotel.. We won’t be doing that again.

The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom needs updating every time. My key card was near my phone. It would deactivate it. It was very sensitive. I wish they had towels at the outdoor pool instead of going for a long walk to the indoor pool to get towels the staff were very, very nice and helpful, I wish the breakfast had had more options.
