The Catamount Lodge is a beautiful and well maintained property. The rooms are comfortable and clean as are the living spaces. It is located within a 15-20 minute drive to local attractions, and the drive is scenic. The owners are timely in their responses to inquiries and the comfort of guests is a priority. As was previously stated: Look no further. The Catamount Lodge is where you want to stay.

This house is exactly what we wanted in a mountain vacation in Colorado--isolated, surrounded by trees, and literally on the side of a mountain. The house was nicely appointed and has plenty of room for the 6 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs we had with us. Couple of things to consider: the road up to the house is a VERY rough road and would be difficult to maneuver in the winter or after lots of rain. We all had SUVs and managed fine. The driveway itself is super steep and would be very difficult in bad weather. While the listing does mention parking available for only two vehicles, we assumed we'd be allowed a third since the house allows for 10 adults and 4 dogs--they were very clear we could ONLY have two vehicles and would risk being towed if we brought a third, even though there is a large two car garage that goes unused. We were given alternate parking options, but that information was incorrect and out of date (based on the phone calls I made to the city myself). We were also only given enough towels and washcloths for each person to have ONE each, regardless for the length of stay (we stayed 7 days). You do your own laundry if you need additional towels or washcloths, and this was firm (based on the call I made to the house manager). This seems unreasonable to be expected to laundry every day while on vacation. While the parking and towels were a bummer, overall, we loved our stay and would recommend it to other families.
