The pool was closed for renovation which is fine but should be a way for us to be notified of that. However we were able to use the pool next door which was a short walk away..Not a big deal but should be notified of the situation.

I couldn’t check in when i arrived because their computers were down. And they couldn’t give me a key and do the paper work later as the same computer creates the key card. Also was told there was a $75 non refundable pet fee at check although I don’t remember anything advised of that when I made the reservation.

The walls are paper thin! Conversations from the rooms next door could be heard clearly, very distracting when you’re trying to sleep. If you’re coming with a pet, prepare to pay a non refundable $75 dollar fee that is not mentioned anywhere until they spring it on you upon check I .

We had no problems with this stay. Room was fine and so was service. Breakfast was adequate but coffee was cold. Location was convenient for our travel needs. There is a “Texas Roadhouse” close by with friendly service (thank you Dani) and excellent food.

Fine for a night, beware road noise
A typical Hampton Inn stay - rooms a little dated here but spotlessly clean. Paper-thin single pane windows mean the noise from the freeway is bad - I’m a heavy sleeper and it even bothered me. Why don’t hotels with such locations install double-glazing? It’s a curious trend in the US. Breakfast decent, better than similar brands, but still the horrendous plastic cutlery/cups/plates scenario. Their notes in the room about environmental considerations by not washing towels daily etc. don’t quite ring true in light of this. But that is not unique to this hotel. Fine for one night.

If you are looking for first-class customer service, this is the place! We were super disappointed that the hot tub was closed. It was the only reason we chose this hotel over a competing hotel. HOWEVER, I spoke to the management and they went above and beyond to make it up to us. Thank you!

We were disappointed by the lack of drinkable water. This issue should have been conveyed other than by an obscure sign. I hope no guests get ill from unknowingly drinking the water that they should not be drinking. Hampton should have provided bottled water to their thirsty guests.

The location is perfect with many food choices nearby. Breakfast was good as usual. My grandkids love the pool and breakfast. We stay here every time we go to Topeka to visit family.

The shower head was broken and the door to the shower was cracked as well. The microwave buttons didn’t work. The only button I could get to work was the add 30 seconds button. If you have a dog you can’t leave it in the room to go eat or take it with you to the pool so make sure you go through fast food drive through if you want to eat.
