This motel was basic, and fine for that. It is a block distant from the freeway, but turning on the fan blocks the limited noise from trucks. So...it was OK.

We were a quick walk away from Hedge Creek Falls which was a bonus. The room was large and clean and we were very close to the town of Dunsmuir. Really liked our stay!

This property has a few quirks such as check in at the diner across the parking lot, and no coffee maker in the room (you had to ask for one - we missed the sign at check in and the employee who checked us in did not mention this) but overall a good experience - it is clean, the cleaning lady we ran into was very friendly as were all of the staff at the diner, our room was on the back side and quiet, and the property is easy to find with a 24-hour diner across the parking lot. Very cute town and great hiking nearby so all in all a good pit stop on our way from the Bay area to Portland.

I booked king bed room in February 2024 for mid July vacation, and they made me feel lucky to get a room that night. I did not get my king bed room. I was given a queen bed instead. The restaurant on-site is extremely slow and understaffed. Ice tea had something in it so had to throw it out after playing $5 for it.

Room was clean and comfortable but no elevator and 2 81 year old ladies had to carry all their suitcases up and down the 2 flights of stairs. No hand bars in the shower which was dangerous and no coffee available . Had to go to nearby dinner to register.

The entire staff is great!
The staff makes the difference! Every. Single. Staff member was so nice, helpful and accommodating! The room was clean. Pretty basic. It has a microwave and mini-fridge. The restaurant (which is where you check in and out!) Is open 24 hours.

For its location and size, this motel exceeded my expectations! The amenities were comfortable and pleasant; everything we needed was provided; and their towels and toilet paper were thicker and softer than those in even the more upscale motels where we stayed!
