The owners keep this property in top shape. The interior is modern and clean, and everything works as it should. The kitchen is fully furnished, though somewhat inexpensively, but I don't ding the owners for this since it is nearly impossible to keep nice things in a rental like this. I cooked several meals and never had to look far for what I needed.
The hot water is hot, the refrigerator is cold, and the air conditioning system has no problem keeping up with the hottest days. The deck is ample, and there are some beach items underneath the house. The washer and dryer work great. Ideally they would be located within the house, but it's already on the cozy side so it's really no bother taking it downstairs and back up.
The beds are extremely comfortable in my opinion. My wife and I liked it so much that we are asking what brand and model they are so that we can look into acquiring one like it for our home.
With the erosion control policies that are now at most North Carolina beaches, we can no longer walk straight out to the beach from the back deck, but this house is only one house from the public access path, and so walking to the beach from the front door of the house is maybe a two-minute walk to get your toes wet.
The host, Dee, was very easy to reach and responded quickly whenever I wrote to ask her a question about anything.
