West End Gulls~Beach Access~Astonishing Views~Small Dog Friendly

Our little coral colored cottage is absolutely perfect for your next family vacation. We have the perfect location and amazing views that will make you want to extend your stay. Enjoy your morning coffee out on the back deck and watch the ocean waves or take an early morning stroll along the beach and search for seashells before anyone else scoops them up! Inside the cottage you will find the kitchen fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, silverware- anything you need, should you decide to cook while on vacation. The living room is cozy and has a Roku TV where guests can log into their streaming services. Down the hall is our full guest bath with standup shower. The first bedroom on the right features bunk beds with a full on bottom and twin on top- linens are always included. The next guest bedroom has a queen bed and our primary bedroom has a queen bed with a primary full bath attached. Walk right out our sliding patio doors from the primary bedroom or the living room sliders onto the deck to take in the gorgeous scenery day or night. On the deck we have an outdoor shower for guests to rinse off after a long day at the beach. Under the house we have a washer/dryer for guest use.

An oasis
This stay was perfect. Fantastic location. Peaceful serene. Outdoor shower was very useful for showering off the beach. The washer and dryer under the house was nice for trying to keep the sand out but sligtly inconvenient if your just trying to do routine laundry. Memory foam mattresses through out. Bunk bed was large enough even for our teens, very sturdy! Great vacation home!

Amazing Ocean Front Home!
Excellent location and beautiful ocean views. We checked in quickly without any issues. The host had complimentary snacks and drinks when we arrived. We have paid a lot more for a lot less in the past. This home exceeded our expectations! The house is perfect for enjoying a day playing/fishing on the beach. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Oak Island House Rental
House location is great, right on the beach and check-in process was smooth. Recent renovations and upgrades are great. Laundry area is below house and access is from outside deck facing ocean. Listing was not clear about beach access location. Asked just prior to renting early in 2024 and host indicated house had it’s own access but not the case, need to use public access. First night when lights went out the cockroaches appeared. Reached out to VRBO host and all we got in return was “we recently had exterminators at house”. We have rented a number of older houses from outer banks to Holden Beach and never experienced this. Maybe it is common, but expected the host to assist with dealing with the issue. Told us that we could find traps/spray at local hardware store. Didn’t even offer to reimburse us for dealing with the issue. If you rent this house bring spray/traps to deal with. We had to deal with cockroaches every night, kept a number of lights on every night in an attempt to keep them away.

Very well-kept cottage on the beach
The owners keep this property in top shape. The interior is modern and clean, and everything works as it should. The kitchen is fully furnished, though somewhat inexpensively, but I don't ding the owners for this since it is nearly impossible to keep nice things in a rental like this. I cooked several meals and never had to look far for what I needed. The hot water is hot, the refrigerator is cold, and the air conditioning system has no problem keeping up with the hottest days. The deck is ample, and there are some beach items underneath the house. The washer and dryer work great. Ideally they would be located within the house, but it's already on the cozy side so it's really no bother taking it downstairs and back up. The beds are extremely comfortable in my opinion. My wife and I liked it so much that we are asking what brand and model they are so that we can look into acquiring one like it for our home. With the erosion control policies that are now at most North Carolina beaches, we can no longer walk straight out to the beach from the back deck, but this house is only one house from the public access path, and so walking to the beach from the front door of the house is maybe a two-minute walk to get your toes wet. The host, Dee, was very easy to reach and responded quickly whenever I wrote to ask her a question about anything. Want fresh local seafood? Check out Haag and Sons. Wonderful long weekend stay
My husband, dog and I enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and we appreciated the fully stocked Keurig and treats. Additionally, the beds were very comfortable. The view from the deck was beautiful and was so convenient right on the beach. We hope to be back!

Awesome Rental at Oak Island West End Gulls
This was our best rental experience by far at Oak Island/Sunset Beach, N.C.! The house was newly renovated and very clean! It was right on the beach next to public access. We were able to bring our small dog which was a big plus! Communication from the host, Dee, was outstanding! Check in was seamless and easy and she responded immediately to our questions. All linens and towels were provided which made us very happy since at another rental we ended up having to go buy everything! There were even extra toiletries soap shampoo and toothbrushes which was great since my wife forgot hers! They even provided the K-Cups for the coffee machine! I highly recommend this rental the price was reasonable and we intend to come back sometime!

Absolute Gem! And What a View!!!!!
Beautiful house. Wonderful layout for families. Kitchen was fully equipted and well stocked. Bathrooms were the same. Immaculate - which for a pet friendly rental is amazing. Beach access could not have been better. We lived on the deck - What a view! We had a storm one day and with that view it was truly awesome. Dee was a fantastic host. Easy to reach and incredibly responsive. We will be back.

Magic on the Beach
I struggled with whether or not I wanted to splurge and stay right on the beach. But as soon as I checked in I knew I had made the right decision. The location was simply magical. Sitting out on the large deck and watching the pelicans and dolphins was such a treat. The house is beautifully decorated and boasts a wonderful kitchen. Loved the extra little touches such as the baked "goodies" left out the new arrival (was especially appreciated as I arrived late and was hungry). Leave your coffee at home! There's a wonderful Kuerig with lots of coffee choices. Look forward to a return visit!

Best birthday ever !!
This was the best ! My husband surprised me with our best friends , we ate we hung out, we fished , we laughed ! It was absolutely great I had no complaints because I’m not a complainer. Relaxing vacation in a lovely cottage right on the ocean
This cottage was a lovely place for four adults to spend a week right on the ocean. We very much enjoyed the ocean views, surf fishing and walks along the ocean. The public access to the beach was very close to the cottage and very convenient for access. The cottage was nicely decorated and very comfortable. There wasn't much closet space, but other than that, it was a lovely place to stay for a week away from home.

Great Location
Location was awesome. On the oceanfront is where I want to be. House was very nice- I would have liked to have more closet space. Drain in master shower was not draining properly, notified home owner and it was fixed promptly. May rent again if it is just us and another couple. Over all love the place!

We were 100% happy with house but very disappointed with beds. Have one major requirement that we have a king bed and was listed that way but only a queen. Spent our vacation in separate beds. All property manager comments was let me know if you don’t want to stay. Drive 5 hours. Where were we going !!!!!!!!!

Wonderful Vacation
This beach front house was fantastic! It was recently remodeled and was so well done. The public access is one house over so very convenient. We loved the deck and watching the sunset. Dee, the property manager, was so nice and helpful. We want to come back!
