Very nice hotel but needs updating.
Always a very friendly hotel. The water-view rooms are quiet and the view peaceful. The breakfast is ok. They have added dinner items; we didn’t eat there but it looked like some nice choices. Only negative—we have been staying here for years and I am noticing that the hotel is showing its age—carpets need deeper cleaning or replacing and give the rooms a musty odor. But the bed linens are clean and the bed comfortable.

Hotel was great! Clean and easy to check in... nice breakfast. It was just a little concerning to see the homeless encampment across the freeway. But its important to mote there were no homeless around the hotel.

location on the bay is really pretty. also easy parking and an exceptionally good breakfast for a free hotel breakfast. good value. not walkable except right outside on the bay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent with different cooked selections every morning, with other staples. Great view of a waterfront area. Location didn’t seem bad as other reviews, but surrounding area isn’t desirable. Most of our incursions were in SF but I would consider staying here again if in Oakland.
