I love this place ! We have been over a handful of times . We live close , but sometimes we want a change of venue . The rooms are clean and safe and the staff is stellar . Itā€™s a big of a boutique hotel and itā€™s on the water but I really love this hotel . My hat is off to the staff ! They are superb!

3 blocks away is a 3rd world homeless Slum My room had stained carpet. The question isā€¦. What made the stain?? If you canā€™t clean the carpet , get new carpet!

I arrived to check-in approx 5pm after the stated 4pm check-in time. I was told that housekeeping was behind and the room wouldn't be ready for a couple of hours and the front desk suggested that I go out and have dinner. I came back at approc 7.30pm and was told the room wouldn't be ready until sometime after 10pm. I asked them for a more specific time and they didn't know and one staff said it might be closer to midnight and I could wait in the lobby area. They told me I could check into another hotel and they would walk me there. I said this wasn't acceptable. At approx 11.30pm a large group of airline staff checked in and were given rooms. I had to stand at the desk and until they finally found an available room. The room itself was a bit worn (carpet stains and scuffed walls). The location is good, but wouldn't recommend a stay there.

Place has potential, but ot sure I would recommend
Check in was awful! Arrived at 10 pm, and our room was not ready! We had to wait for a half hour for them to clean the room and then the front desk personnel made us feel like we were lucky because the maids put our room before a few others. What if we e had arrived for 4 pm check-in!!?? Other than that, it was a decent stay, and we were grateful for the short walking distance to the Oakland-Alameda-SF ferry.

I did like or realize until we were there was not self-parking, and hence you essentially had to pay for valet-parking. Therefore, it was always time consuming and problematic getting your car when it was needed.
